  1. Yeah, for all his weaknesses, he has proven time and time again that he deserves respect for his attitude and professionalism (not to mention the ability to score a goal or two unlike Bats).
  2. Very happy with today's approach, attitude and performance (for a change). I hope Lamps has realised that he should never, ever marginalize players, unless it's for disciplinary issues. Giroud and Alosno were great today, credit where it's due.
  3. It is amazing how biased people can be, For instance, in our match against spurs, Alonso was clearly one of our best players and still there were people in the forum posting how bad he is. I don't mind the bashing since the guy pisses me off more often than not, but when he is playing good, the least you can do is acknowledge it instead of moaning for no reason.
  4. Yeah i know what you were trying to imply with your comment, i just replied to expand on that by expressing my thoughts on what could be considered a fair critisism on Lamps and what is unfair/premature.
  5. When we appointed Lamps i told myself that i will not criticise him for the results this season, even if we fail to reach top 4. Like you said we need to be patient with him BUT at the same time i will surely criticise him for his tactics and general management (i haven't done that in the forum so far, just in my mind). All i want from Lamps this season is to show that we are making some progress in the right direction as a club. This will be a slow process but he needs to stop making the same fucking mistakes match after match. He is still a new coach but he needs to show that he is evolving and learning from his mistakes and to be honest there are not many signs that he is doing that so far. It is still early though, so passing judgement on him is premature imo.
  6. My lord, Kovacic is such a joy to watch, brilliant player.
  7. Get in Springboks!!!!!!!! I feel sorry for all my English mates, but i have a soft spot for the SA team. I am so happy for them, Kolisi lifting the trophy was such a great and emotional moment.
  8. This, for me, is a match to remember. I have been waiting for this day to come ever since i started watching our youth matches regularly, back in the days of Gael and Josh. Maybe i am exaggerating things in my mind, but i felt really proud watching all those kids playing together for the senior team. Long may it continue.
  9. De Telegraaf, Sky Sport Italia and various others have reported that De Ligt is expected to complete a €70m move to Turin this weekend with an official announcement expected on Monday. De Ligt is expected to sign a five-year-contract with Juventus, earning up to €12m per year, making him the second-highest paid player at the club. Of the €70m transfer fee, it’s suggested that agent Mino Raiola will earn close to €11m in commission. Fuuuckkk, so sad to see both De Ligt and De Jong leaving Ajax. Ffs, so many huge talents moving this summer, it feels like this was the worst possibe time to get a transfer ban (on top of our best player leaving). I guess we ll just have to wait till next summer to spend our money on the next Drinkwater.
  10. What the fuck, i didn't know there was a Chelsea Foundation academy at Sani Resort (though it kinda makes sense because it is the preferred destination of many rich Russians, so maybe Roman has some connections there). It is an 1 hour drive from where i live and the funny thing is that i will be spending this weekend in a nearby location, so i was thinking to stop by Sani on my way there and have a cup of coffee at the marina.. Maybe i should wear my Chelsea shirt and go have a word with him
  11. How is that number going to help the team in the upcoming seasons? What really matters is the fact that we are just a few millions away from being the top spending club in whole Europe and all we have is a single worldclass player, a few good ones and a shit ton of dead wood. It really is absurd how much the board has fucked up in the last 3 years (provided that list is accurate).
  12. Anyone else watched the match last night? Watching some of our old players brought up some good memories (you know, when we were young and carefree, damn i am getting old) Here is the link for the full match for those who missed it
  13. Eden used to be in there, now it's Barkley. I don't know if i want to laugh or cry
  14. Yes, at least i would. We are not like most other clubs, we always honour those who have been great servants of our club. And Eden is more than just a great servant, he is one of our legends.
  15. I am hoping he will return someday and retire here
