You already said it your self that ramires isnt best rw

I never said that. I said he wasn't the best player in the world. Lionel Messi is and he's not a right winger.

Besides, you forget that we're Chelsea. We don't have to play Clasicos twice a season so unlike Real and Barcelona we don't have to stack our squad with a world XI. All we need are a few good players that can beat Man City and Man United.

Well then i say that. Ramires wont be starting rw, just let time prove me right. Theres nothing more to discuss, i dont care if he can play at rw or rb because i have said he shouldnt and thats that. He has other uses other than being a wannabe winger.

Thats an incomplete team right there, using pieces to hide or cover deficiencies with tape.

Doesnt convince me. All you aspire for is anti football then against a team like barcelona. Aspire for the best instead of putting a fake winger.

and dont put words into my mouth, i didnt assure long term lack of success, it just doesnt convince me that putting him as winger is the best option. Any manager that comes into chelsea will agree.

Let's take this elsewhere. Meet me in http://forum.talkche...890#entry448178

You already said it your self that ramires isnt best rw or rb, that was my point and you conceded. Bring hulk and end it already.

Ramires is a true box-to-box, good in attacks with his runs and great in defense with his tenacity. Never runs out of energy, and can maintain a high tempo when others around him start to fade. (I admit the last bit was borrowed from Fifa 12). Has a strong mentality, the sort of player which, according to Mourinho, belongs to a rare breed. A great option for any strong squad. Can be utilized in a number of positions.

Good to know, but i will always prefer to have a world class rb, and rw, than a player trying to do that to make up for the lack of it.

Regardless of the current market, its just a point.

I will study ramires more throughly if it makes you feel better when i watch chelsea, ok?

The whole day people have been bragging to me to respect ramires, which i do..

Lol, there's no pressure. Just wanted to introduce you to the "Blue Kenyan", who is very much a central midfielder BTW.

To get this back on topic, where do you see Rami playing next season in the 4-2-3-1? On the wing where he played since RDM took charge or centrally despite not being tested there?

On the RW or even...(dare I say it?) RB. I dislike him at CM because his technical skills often less a bad taste and he would make life more difficult for his double pivot partner. If he is to be played in the Midfiels I believe a new formation will be necessary, perhaps a return to the 4-3-3 is on the cards? Though Lampard and Mikel did struggle with the 4-3-3 under AVB.

On the wing if no RW is bought. On the bench if a RW is bought. Although he could/should be played centrally. I think 4-3-3 should be given another go. With Ramires, Mikel/Romeu and one of Cabaye/Modric/Moutinho/Sahin in midfield.

I think Rami's ideal position is CM in 4-3-3. In a double pivot role, however, I have my doubts over him because of his passing skills and his forward runs will make life much difficult for Mikel (the player next to him). Though he has never been tried there so he could prove me wrong. I can't see him at rightback either because he simply doesn't have the experience to play there.

I think RDM has a lot to try during pre-season.

But they did just fine under previous managers with the 4-3-3. Problem with AVB's 4-3-3 is that he wanted to play an open expansive attacking football, adopting a high defensive line and press all over the pitch. As long as we avoid playing that again, we will be fine. Just go back to the slightly more conservative Mourinho/Hiddink/Ancelotti's 4-3-3 if you like if we are to use it.
