EskWeston

Players currently out on loan

Started by EskWeston,

Below are the players under first team level that are currently out on loan:

Jeffrey Bruma - (Hamburg - Bundesliga - Season Long)

Having made 22 appearances for Hamburg last season both clubs decided to extend his stay for a further season. Having shown his versatility he will hope to build on that season and make a step up. Bruma's long term Chelsea future is very much in question but with a good season at Hamburg that could change very quickly. Likewise an indifferent season could see a departure from Chelsea.

Tomas Kalas - (Vitesse Arnhem - Eredivisie - Season Long)

After a very success season long spell at Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem Tomas has once agains joined them on another season long loan. Before the move though Kalas signed a new contract at Chelsea which will keep him tied to the club until 2017 which is a big boost for him. Vitesse will be competing in this years Europa league which is another big boost to what Kalas will use to develop himself as a player ready for Chelsea. Before leaving he told Chelsea TV he would expect to be back at Chelsea next season to compete for a first team place.

Patrick Van Aanholt - (Vitesse Arnhem -Eredivisie - Season Long)

It was a mixed seasonfor Van Aanholt last season, loans to both Wigan and Vittesse were only semi successful. Van Aanholt will return to Vittesse for the coming season to hopefully have more of an impact. Their regular left back has moved on which leaves a perfect way for PVA to get the game he needs. With Ryan Betrand being massively impressive last season Patrick will need a good season to come back and compete with Bertrand.

Rohan Ince - (Yeovil Town - League 1 - 6 Months)

A first loan move for Rohan Ince. A player once highly thought of at Chelsea has had his development interupted by a few long injury lay offs. As is the case usually at this level it has meant he has fallen behind his team mates. Under contract with Chelsea until the end of the season it is unlikely that he will sign a new contract with us. This will be a move to help him find a club for the future.

Ulises Davilla - (CE Sabadell - Spanish Second Division - Season Long)

This is the second loan spell for Davilla after his first loan at Vitesse didn't go to well. He will be looking to get plenty of game time this time and to adapt properly to European football. The aim for him to break back into the Mexican national side to enable him to get a work permit.

Milan Lalkovic - (Vitoria De Guimaraes - Portugese Liga - Season Long)

Continuing Chelsea's preference for loaning out players to club outside of England Milan Lalkovic has gone on loan to the Portugese league. For Milan it will be all about game time and playing against good opposition on a weekly basis to improve his game. Milan is a talented player so i hope he can do well there.

Sam Walker - (Bristol Rover - League 2 - 6 months)

Having already made a couple of loan spells and done well on those loans it is a shame that Chelsea have not been able to find a club for him at a higher level than League 2. However it is another chance for Sam to prove himself as a very capable goalkeeper and keepers do mature later so there is still a lot to hopeful for with Sam.

Connor Clifford - (Portsmouth - League 1 - 1 month)

Having been another player to suffer at the expense of the poor 18 - 21 football age bracket Connor has played little football and certainly not at the level needed. Now he is joining up with troubled club Portsmouth initially on a months loan (although that will most certainly be extended) there he will hope to get plenty of minutes on the pitch and bring his level of football back up to where he feels it should be.

Archange Nkumu - (Yeovil - League 1 - 1 month)

Archange Nkumu will be making his first steps away from Chelsea with a months loan at Yeovil. You could say that he will be joining up with Rohan Ince, but it is more likely that he is going to replace Rohan for a month while Rohan is out injured. I am sure they will asses him and maybe extend the loan even with Rohan there.
