Would be a good loan for him. With limited reserves games it is very hard for these boys. He is a very talented player but has lost a little form this season, not helped of course by the limited game time he has had. I think a loan move would do him the world of good.

Well for a start Frank Arnesen only scouts the players he doesn't train them! Secondly it was reported recently that Sergio Tejera has signed a new contract with CFC.

So it seems we have another Frank Nouble situation here..

No idea what happened with Tejera last season, he has looked an excellant prospect...

Real Mallorca are close to finalising a deal that would see Chelsea youngster Sergio Tejera join the club.

The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Mallorca where he represented the club's reserve side.

Despite not playing for the first team during his stay in Spain, the Islanders' head coach Gregorio Manzano is said to have been so impressed with the midfielder that he made sure he signed the player permanently this summer.

The final details of the transfer are being finalised with the former Spanish Under-18 international set to sign a four-year deal with Chelsea having first option on the player should he move on before 2011.

Tejeraspacer.gif has not featured for the Blues' first team since he joined from Espanyol three years ago but has played for the youth and reserve sides on a regular basis.

"The subject is practically closed and in a few days' time the player will be totally Mallorca's," club sporting director Nando Ponsspacer.gif told skysports.com.Real Mallorca are close to finalising a deal that would see Chelsea youngster Sergio Tejera join the club.

Sergio Tejera today (Friday) joined Real Club Deportivo Mallorca on a permanent transfer.

The Spaniard originally came to Chelsea three years ago from Espanyol and began his time in London playing similarly to a classic 'No. 10' position.

However, his second year saw him frequently played more deeply in midfield, with benefit to his form and he was one of the stars of the 2007/08 FA Youth Cup campaign, scoring the Academy's Goal of the Season in the semi at Villa Park.

He had begun the season playing for his nation at the Under 17s World Cup and also reached the final there but was an unused sub as Spain lost to Nigeria.

At the end of the year he was part of the club's humanitarian Right to Play trip to the Middle East where he celebrated his 18th birthday.

Last season he began his Mallorca career by moving there on loan in February.

In total Tejera played 29+4 youth games for Chelsea, scoring seven goals, and 22+4 reserve games with one goal.

Chelsea would like to thank Sergio for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future.

this is really really sad, he was an absolout great prospect for the future, I think he could have been a Ballak replacement but with much much mor creativity

Apparently we have first options on him so if he does turn into a good player we can just get him back.

@we hate

should our board really get something like a brain? I hope so, that would be great, we should have first options on all our young talents, you never know what they can achiev... ;)

And whilst were going with this whole first options (like dibsing...shotgunning, or bagseying a player lol) stuff...Why dont we do a Real Madrid contract style thing. They put buy back clauses in their contracts...So any good young players that leave the club and go on to become awesome can be brought back by Real as having the first option and set cheaper price...Cheekey i know, but its a decent idea.
