Proper display leading the line today.

I didnt want him here when we were linked with him because I didnt feel he would give Morata proper competition. Boy was I wrong. Hopefully he presses on. Need him to be big now that Morata stupidly got suspended. All we have really.

Just short of a goal today to round off a very good performance. He should be our leading CF going forward

I’m enjoying every moment of Giroud on the field. He is so dominant and useful unlike Morata. We’ve got ourselves a true soldier.

Let's see how he fares against quality teams before we pass judgment. His good performances so far have come against relegation fodders in West Brom, Hull, Palace.

Hopefully he'll get more then 15/10 minutes  or so to have a chance against quality

Can only performance when you're played. Might have been the difference had he started against Utd or City.

I know but that's not the point anyway.

I understand. Just saying it might be a while before he get a chance to assess that if Conte doesn't learn.

Against top quality we use a false 9 so the judgement won't even come.

Again hes impressed me, maybe never scored but he looks motivated and wants to prove a point. Lack of quality opposition or not, you can only play against whoever is next and when hes played, hes looked good.

He has been in the premier league for a long time, it's not like he's an unproven quantity, his hold up play and vision has always been amazing and probably one of the best in the game, but he just won't score many goals and that's why he could never become a top team striker, he isn't the most clinical in front of goal, and we'll just have to accept that.

Can't blame him. He's not very good but Conte did the right thing by putting him in the starting-11; he deserved that.

Unfortunately, he's an Arsenal reject which should tell you everything, really.

Still better than Morata.
