Beyond impressed with his start in the first team.  Has really stepped up and hardly seems like a 20 year old.  Takes on defenders/shots like he's been in the league for years.  Keep on rolling...

“I spoke to Mason on Friday and asked him if he felt like he was a Chelsea player yet because it is important,” said Lampard. “Important that he feels like he is a big player because we were young today. Mason and Tammy, but also Andreas Christensen are Kurt Zouma are still a little bit young and have to grow up very quickly and have personality and be leaders on the pitch. I thought the spirit showed today.”

Asked how Mount responded to his question, Lampard added: “He just sort of smiled. He’s a confident boy, in a really nice way because he’s got a humility and a work ethic.

“He smiled and we had a laugh, but I didn’t really get a clear answer. But he should feel like it (a Chelsea player) if he plays like he is at the moment. And that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the story. He needs to work on getting better daily because he’s a player who trains like it’s a chance to improve and we need that feeling through the team.”

Finally.. It's so good to play and win actually important games with academy players as main charachters. And RLC, CHO and James are coming back and Tomori looked promising too. And Christensen looks better than last year.

GIVE HIM THE NO.8 SHIRT!

Personally i think 19 suits him.

Unless he specifically requests 8 if/when Ross goes i would keep his number as it is.

Barkley though average and erratic with his end products yet still serviceable but willlian the less said about him the better...

That reminds me of that story of Mourinho coming to the showers to tell Frank he is the best midfielder hehe.

Does that mean in about 20 years time Frank will be in the Sky Sports studio having lost his mojo criticisising Mount (who's just got the Chelsea job) for his team selection?
