Danny Drinkwater

I really do not understand why people can't give the guy a chance here. I mean he is wanted or at least accepted by Conte and who can question Conte at this point? Also, he's homegrown, he proved himself in the Premier League and made a great partnership with Kante.

What's so bad about this signing? The price tag, which is actually absolutely decent on the current market? The fact that he doesn't have a fancy name? Or the fact that his overall in FIFA will be a pain in the ass for all of us?

I reckon he will only be the new Mikel. A very useful squad player, who knows the league and can help when needed.

If we get him, can we agree not to call him DD? There is only one DD, and it's not Danny Drinkwater.

We can call him Danny D.

I heard he has a huge experience...

Sky sources understand Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has handed in a transfer request.

He's keen to join Chelsea and wants to force through a move, but so far the Blues are not prepared to meet Leicester's valuation.

We understand a fee of £25m has been discussed.

Leicester do not want to sell Drinkwater, and only an exceptional bid will prise him away.

This is the thing now so late in the window....desperate club seeks player, selling club knows, statement reads "Only exceptional bid will pull him away"

In other words we are hanging by our knackers from a meat hook.
