I think he will stay till the end of the season..We are still in FA cup..

That's even more of a good reason to sack him. Conte never lifted a cup final trophy as manager and has played in a good number of finals.

Sack him so we can regroup to win the FA Cup. Because we will be facing Spuds or Mourinho in the final IF we get past Southampton, and losing to either one of these will take the cake on what is a horrific season for CFC.

Failure to win the FA Cup in any stage, and to me this is worse than the season we finished 10th. At least we done the double against Arsenal that season. At least Spuds didn't beat us at the Bridge. What did we actually do this season that was an exciting result for us? Spuds at Wembley? That's it?

I agree. I have been an avid Conte supporter, but this just takes the cake. No fresh ideas, same stale tactics each game, and worst of all the thing you mentioned - not reacting AT ALL to in-game situations. Bringing on like-for-like players with 10 minutes to go and not changing formation, playing 5 defenders chasing goals in a must-win game, WHAT THE FUCK DOES HE EXPECT? Giroud's fresh legs to do a miracle??? The Einstein quote of madness being repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting different results... well, by that definition Conte is mad!

Seriously, I thought he was smarter than that, a more proactive hands-on leader. Either he isn't or he's sabotaging our season because he doesn't care anymore... either case he can just fuck off for all I care. Yeah the board fucked him over, it's been analysed to death here, but how Conte is acting like a child crying in his corner is not better. Wish Holland was still here, he could take the reigns until the end of the season methinks, at least he would abolish this horrid 3-4-3 formation or at least mix things up once in a while.

Yeah its pretty obvious something went sour between Conte and board along the season. Then Conte just decided to fuck us over, because he cant get over it, like he didnt with Costa.

I genuinely became a fan of 3 men defence last season, but Conte did everything this season to absolutely make me hate it again.

Cant wait for the day we ditch it and bring 4:3:3 back.

We were 2nd in january and actualy had ok season IMO. 2018 however is disaster.

I believe him. Conte is obviously taking the piss with his squad selection at the moment... making some kind of point to the board. Make no mistake about it though, he has definitely got the best out of the players at his disposal. Just look at what he acheived in his first season with this utterly shit squad.

He might have got the maximum out of the players but did he get the maximum out of himself? No substitutions at reasonable times, no change in formation.. no he didn't.

Problems run deeper than our manager..When you finish 1st ,10th ,1st and 5th..You have to question the mentality of the squad....How can they be so inconsistent?...Conte's tactics does not excuse them performing for our badge and  the shirt....We need a complete overhaul in terms of style, identity , quality and the mentality

If this result doesn't open the eyes on everyone related to CFC, nothing would.

He achieved it because we had no fixtures and other teams were worse. This season the competition has got better and he's all outta ideas. To top it off he lambastes Costa in January last year, then totally destroying the relationship beyond repair before pre-season. He hasn't changed formation which hasn't worked this season and got found out. It was the same at Juventus, stubbornness and lack of competition in the league helped him a lot. The players and board can no longer be his point of blame.

He's probably sick of being at Chelsea, and rightly so. Totally uninterested in the team for a few months I reckon.
Nice to see people catching up on what kind of a player Hazard really is, Courtois too. Sell them and build something new.
Also, it's so embarrassing to have only one midfielder at this club.

Same players seem to have downed tools again and the fighters have either left or are unavailable.

So much needs to change in the summer

Then he should resign and forefit his £9m.

Conte has protected his players by taking much of the criticism aimed at Chelsea on his own shoulders or deflecting it towards the boardroom over the club’s transfer strategy.
But those players, who owe their winners’ medals from last season to the Italian’s coaching, are giving up on trying to save Conte or at least attempting to send him out in style.
They have sensed change for months and, knowing it is Conte and not themselves who will pay the price for a disappointing title defence, too many have grown tired of his tough training, regular video sessions and dark moods.

Says a lot about this players mentality

While some of the blame definitely has to be placed on the players, the vast majority lies with the board/owner. When you win titles you're supposed to build upon that success and add quality and depth to maintain the momentum. In each of our last two title wins the club has either become complacent or penny pinched.

Last title win we essentially signed no one and combined with Mourinho's toxic personality it was disastrous. This past summer we tried to prevent that from happening but have an absolutely clueless transfer strategy and bought loads of mediocre players.

Years of selling great players (Salah, KDB, Matic, Lukaku) and signing average ones has finally and mercilessly caught up with us. When the Manchester clubs are signing superstars or top quality talent whilst we buy Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta, Barkley etc what do we expect? Even Liverpool are in another spending bracket than us now. Fucking Liverpool!

Must be demoralizing as a player or manager who just won the title last season watching other teams improve massively and totally eclipse you. All 4 sides above us improved significantly. The champions took a step back.

Is it really surprising though?

I argued about this with a couple of friends.

When the players know there is unrest between manager and the board, and they know he won’t be here next season, will you give a 100%?

If you’re a fan of the club or coming from the youth ranks, probably yes but at the end of the day in football, everything is on the manager’s head because it’s easier to replace the manager than the whole team.

But it’s not only this lot. A lot of fans won’t admit but the old guards which is adored by everybody, even they downed tools on former managers.

We'll see this summer. They sold Coutinho for 100m+ and bought VVD for 75m. If we do the same with Hazard there's little chance we'd do the same with that money. Knowing our board we'd replace one 150m player with a load of 20m players and call it even.

We replaced Costa with Morata. If Liverpool start spending lots gross then it's a different talking point, but i highly doubt they would have spent £75m on a CB if they weren't getting the money back it in a sale.

We've had more money to spend than ever and still refused to buy from the top bracket. Otherwise we'd have Lukaku, VVD, Pogba etc in our side instead of our rivals. The money is there, we just choose not to spend it. I have zero faith that we'd us the Hazard money on a player or two that are close to him in quality.

I can see it now: we sell Hazard and target Zaha and some other up and coming kid with potential to replace him.
