3 months is a long time in football. MU won the league at a CANTER as well in 12-13, 3 months later started their worst season in recent history. We won't go the same way but we will struggle to compete for the title, this is a significant change from a year ago when we walked it.

Maybe.

So what are we gonna do? fire Jose come Winter ?

No, we're gonna get our shit together, support the manager and the players and bounce back.

That was different. Their team was finished, David Moyes was the unfortunate guy that had to rebuild an entire team and get the results in the mean time. Impossible.

I KNOW we were shit today, and there are many reasons why. We missed Oscar, BADLY. I think he would have opted against Fabregas and Ramires if he was available. Souness on Sky said it best. In the second half he was making a statement to the board. "I need more players." Look at the bench we had today. Blackman, Zouma, RLC, Cuadrado, Falcao, Remy, Mikel. He has no options. He can't NOT play Ivanovic, there are no alternatives. He can't change the game in any way. And he only had a suspension and an injury. The best he can do is throw on Zouma in midfield and change to ultra defensive mode.

I'm worried, however. Hazard looks like he left his talent boots hanging up in the dressing room today. Costa looks like Drogba last season atm (alright fair enough he should have won us a red card for Fernandinho's elbow), Fabregas looks like he's lost that final ball completely. City knew how to dominate us, you can't knock them for it, they knew that if they press that right hand side of Iva, Cesc (who when pressed becomes useless), Willian we collapse. Fantastic tactical job.

But in all fairness, we didn't look that bad in the second half. 2 defensive errors made it look much worse than it was, had we not conceded further I'd say it'd be a positive to take away.

Yep that is my preferred solution too, lets make a couple of solid signings and unite again behind the scene to correct our wrong. But that has been proven to not be how Jose usually handle these things in the past, so surely you must have some doubt as well?

Like I said, I will be happily be proven wrong and looks like a mug by 2 months when we have just won our 10th game on the bounce after this debacle, but somehow I don't think so. Also don't think we will fire Jose but if the pressure and bad results keep on happening, he will start to cause fire which might makes his position untenable at some point which forces the club to find a 'mutual separation' again with him.

And THAT IS THE PROBLEM RIGHT THERE, you said he tried to make a point with the board, what IF THE BOARD WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE IT? it happened in 06-07, where he started using press conference to basically criticise the board for not giving him good enough signings(eggs and stuff remember) and a few weeks later he was gone. Maybe the same might happen again? Obviously this might not be an issue and we go out and sign Pedro, Baba and Stones by the end of next week but that seems more fantasy football than real life.

I agree there is something fundamentally wrong with the club but it isn't just Jose, but a cumulative of issues with players, the board being tie ass and others. But Jose didn't help it by starting more fire last week, that is why atm I can see it heading down that dark path so often as it has with him in the past.

Yeah if the board doesn't listen to him then he will leave. Can't really blame him for that either, the squad is too thin and it's obvious.

It has been said that he hasn't been this unhappy since the tail end of the end of his first spell here. Let's see if he rides it out.

ONLY one manager gave us the REAL double and he got a lot of abuse on here .

Never understood all the hate with him either. That 10-11 season was not his fault especially as it is proven by the season after that the squad was the real problem.

I think it should be a toss up between MrBlueGuy and lionsden tbh. They both know far better than Mourinho after all.

If they're unavailable then Stevie Wonder, both Chuckle Brothers and Jade Goody should definitely be in with a shout.

Damned you thundercunt! Give me a chance at least!
