New Moderator Needed..

Madmax and some others being mentioned won't make good mod material imo because some of them see unpopular opinions are just simply trolling and mods need to see past that.

Personally my picks are supporter and KevinAshburner, both seems to be full of enthusiasm and always seem to criticise points in a constructive manner, without really picking a fight with anyone.

Madmax is probably the best choice there is, supporter hasn't been on this site for much time, but certainly Kevin, Petr Cech x and the Skipper are also good options

What does a moderator do ?

How taxing is it in terms of a] time, b] reading stuff ?

I was mod. once of a forum, but it was whenever we were in the mood to login.

We were cleaning the viagra-enhancement posts every day though, as we had lots of such posts those years.

Thugs for the Admin; general management of the users of forums. Admins do all the more in depth stuff, graphics, bannings, suspensions, etc.

Mods have generally much more limited control and power than the Admins.

It should be noted that Alex (more like Smellex, am I right? haha) doesn't want Scouseman as a moderator as he is afeared of the power Scouseman and I would wield in a two man power trip.

What a monkey.

We'll have to think of a new way to over throw him. VIVA LA REVOLUCIAN

I honestly would love to be a mod. Got a lot of love for TC.

There are a lot of excellent people that would do a great job though.

Madmax, DYC., WHS, PetrCech, Amels, Sheva... And pretty much anyone that's been mentioned here. Very reasonable and fair people that would do an outstanding job.

I should think it's Roman lurking behind in the shadows.

I was questionning how much time it takes, to see if I could do it or not.

However I believe this forum is ok.

For me the record "thuggery" was in 2004. I said I unsupport Bush in an international so called opinion forum and they banned me in seconds. There were no heated exchanges, as I did n't even get time for any. In the 2012 Greek elections as well as in the recent ones I got respective bans for making to the SYRIZA loony lefties the logical suggestion to jump to the nearest pond and drawn themselves.

Skipper would be my choice. I haven't been around much the last year or so. But of all the members he seems one of the most well respected, and i think would do an exceptional job. Many of the others are great members but a good mod... Maybe not. But whoever it is GL. :)

I said xPetrCechx because he does a great job for TC already by posting all the up to date news stories. That effort should be rewarded. Plus on top he never gets into arguments with anyone, mainly cause he doesn't get into any heated discussions but a mod doesn't have to be a football analyst.

Easy for him to mod cause no one can argue that he's being biased, cause he never puts himself in this position. The perfect mod imo, someone who is impossible to criticise because he never posts any such thing and he'll be able to do the dirty work too for the same reason. No one could ever say he's abusing his power etc.

Edit - the other nominees are also worthy but I just wanted to support my nomination instead of just throwing a name out there without a reason.

As ever a great post mate, great feedback.

I am in if needed, i do spend a lot of time on forums ( obviously especially TC ), so using that time improving the quality of discussions on the forum would be interesting.

Plus you'de be replacing an arab mod with another one, considering the former turned out to be pretty good, encouraging :D
