Greatest Movie Of All Time

Come on guys, you very well know that the Godfather parts 1 and 2 are essentially one film. Can't mention one without the other.

Really? Personally I think they couldn't be more different, both tonally and thematically. The Godfather is a near-masterpiece for me, the second doesn't even come close

I like Avatar and Titanic, at the first time I watched it. Also I like Quentin Tarantino films like Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained. And I began to like Waltz, one of the best actor imo. Shame I haven't seen Pulp Fiction, as it is one of the top in greatest movie list in several web.

Ah I forgot to mention National Treasure 1 & 2, Wanted, Angels & Demons.

Mulholland Drive.

But as far as technical achievement goes, my pick for most perfect film would be either Kubrick's 2001, Scorsese's Taxi Driver or 8½ by Fellini.

I was waiting for you to make an appearance in this thread mate.

Never watched Interstellar, though I definitely will.

Watched the first 20 minutes of Inception, thought it was shit. Will give it another try sometime...

Agree with Alex, Inception was boring. Tried 3 times to watch it and fell asleep everytime.

I'm surprised people wrote Goodfellas and not Bronx Tale.

Both are really good movies, but bronx tale is definitely better than Goodfellas.

Went to watch it last week with my friends and they ended up dragging me to watch "Black Sea" instead because they don't want to watch something "sciencey" <_<

I've never seen Bronx Tale, but if its as good as you say then its going on the watch list.

Everything was perfect in Goodfellas though, from the soundtrack to the fantastic continuous shot introducing you to the characters. A film I used to put on to fall asleep to, only to stay up and watch it every time.

Went to watch it last week with my friends and they ended up dragging me to watch "Black Sea" instead because they don't want to watch something "sciencey" <_<

And there was next to no science, it was just a big blubberfest, and I hardly ever cry at films. It wasn't sad, just incredibly moving.

Great, now I don't want to watch it! :P

Kidding, I've read his biography (by Kitty Ferguson), and while that had quite a lot of (basic) physics, I did find his life story to be very moving and inspiring.

Joe Pesci really brought Goodfellas to another level, he nailed it

a guy i knew once tried to reacreate his "funny guy" act in real life, it didn't work out for him

the "shinebox" scene is my favourite though
