How to watch HD streams

I noticed that lots of people settle for watching crappy choppy low quality streams when Chelsea play so I wanted to help those of you who would like to watch Chelsea in HD instead.

Obviously you won't be able to watch HD streams if your internet is slow, but considering the exponential rise of average internet speed I doubt that would be a problem. I have 10mbps (1.2 megabayte per second) and I can watch HD videos no problem.

Also, for HD streams you will need to download certain software which I shall mention below because it's much easier for people to host video streams that way.

You can find needed links at website wiziwig (Live Sports -> Football)

Should you get SopCast or AceStream? Get both. They are lightweight and there are sometimes only links for one of them.

SOPCAST

Sopcast is a lovely software, a bit rough around the edges, but it does the job well. I use this one the most.

1. Download it from the link given below.

2. Install.

3. Go to wiziwig and find a stream.

4. As shown on the picture below, click Play Now!

6. It will launch the Sopcast window and it will start connecting to a stream. In the lower right corner you can notice the percentage bar showing you the buffering status (94% on picture).

It doesn't have to be 100% for the stream to work properly, it can work alright at 80% minimum I believe.

7. Enjoy

VLC player is also a useful software to have. You can play SopCast streams in it. It's useful sometimes because SopCast can't play well certain streams, but when you switch to VLC it works well.

DOWNLOAD SOPCAST

AceStream

1. Download AceStream.

2. Install.

3.Find a stream that uses AceStream.

4. Click on Play Now and it will start.

5. Enjoy

SopCast is useless, all the streams on wiziwig get blocked after a short time. If you're lucky you can watch one half, but usually they get taken down around 10-20 minutes. Does acestream have the same problem?

It's $9 per month here in Romania for 100mbps. Torrent going to 12-13mbps download speed. Plus another $9 for HD television.
