We played our best football under Mourinho when fabregas was on form. If he can have another spell like that for us, that'd be great.

that was before Jose turned him into a 3rd rate defender

3 mans midfield is the key for Fabregas.

Maybe we can try:

Cesc Willian/RLC/Ramires

Matic

Willian/RLC for the games where you think you can dominate. Ramires for the tough games. Try Willian if you also want to play Pedro, otherwise play Willian on the wing.

Since Costa is in really bad form, maybe we can try Pedro as the striker, and willian, Hazard/Kenedy on the wings.

His form wasn't as bad as it was made out to be to begin with. But he'll continue to struggle somewhat (mostly off the ball) unless the team drastically improves. Playing for Spain isn't exactly comparable.

Yep. Spain hide his deficiencies and maximize his strengths. The intense pressing, high line, off the ball runners & possession oriented play just doesn't exist at our club .

we've said way too many times that the current system (and others' lack of form) is the problem more than his own form. People just want to get rid of him because some of them barely ever got over his gunner past. He has his limitations, but when a team offers him a chance to work on his strengths, he can still make a difference.

Basicaly the whole team has to be accomodated to him and still he will be invisible against teams that can press with high intensity (when he plays for Chelsea atleast). Thats one and only truth. But yeah he can be good player and useful player if you dont count that part above.

so basically mourinho is the problem, sadly :(

Its sad to see for player like fabregas will likely to struggling more with this current system which mourinho build.

Meanwhile, when the team play to his strength, he likely to have better performance far more consistently.
