Off-topic but not sure were to put this: Izzi Brown scores the only goal for England U17 against Albania. The game just finished. Solanke had scored their only goal in the last match.

This is pretty insane. Our U18 team was 2-0 against Villa's 10 minute into the match. They are currently leading 10-2 with about 20 minutes to go!

The reason our team was so dominant is because there has been no U21 fixtures for a week now so the likes of Boga and Solanke played with their actual age group of U18.

This must go for show that Chelsea has the best youth setup in England?

Yes,we do have the best youth team and the best youth setup in England, but what does it matter when we do not give our youth players chances to make it in the first team? That is just wasted money

If Mourinho keeps his word and things keep running smoothly there is no doubt players like Boga, Baker, Loftus-Cheek and DaSilva will get chances at the highest level. Of course Ake has played against Bolton and he, along with Baker and Christensen are considered parts of the first team.

As long as they do not start games in the PL or CL,they will not make it here.Yes,you can loan them out for 3 to 4 years, but it is easier for players to make it in their home club because of the fact that they do know the environment of their club.I think that McEachran would have had a better career ,if Chelsea gave him chances to show his skills in PL matches. You know the club, you know the players, you know the coaches etc. .The only negative aspect, I see is pressure, but I am quite sure that most of our best youngstars are able to deal with pressure.I do not say that they should play 30 matches in a season, but 1 to 3 matches at the beginning would be great. If the player delivers a good performance, maybe give him more chances. If not,you know that he is not ready.RLC,Boga,Ake and Baker are ready for first team action. If we do not start giving our youth players chances,we will always buy new players that take away the places of our youth players.

Also,Mourinho is not the type of coach that gives youth players chances to make it in their club.I do not want that our exceptional talents will make other clubs happy, after they buy them.If we do not give our youth team chances, they will leave us and make other clubs happy. This would make me very sad because i have watched some of the youth matches and I know that there are some great talents in our academy.

All I know is, Boga has to make it here because talents like him don't grow on trees. He must be put in the best possible position of making it here. And I don't mean our infamous strategy of zapping out every ounce of motivation in a player with gazillion loan spells. at some point some of these players will have to be thrown into the deep end because the "safe approach" has been unproductive so far.

If players like Sterling, Owen,Fowler,Rooney, Barkley et al can survive the deep end then so can Boga. enough with this overly cautious approach that has not yielded any positive result so far. If wrapping them in the cotton wool approach doesn't work then logic dictates you try a different approach.

Our youth team were in action against Fulham last night which was live on Chelsea TV. Had to mention this as the stunner from our next Ashley Cole was amazing. That is Jaydasilva btw who was playing with out first team in the opening games of pre-season.
