not necessarily. Teams put them on and take them off again like rangers when they won 50 league titles put 5 stars above the badge but it was gone a couple of seasons later. Liverpool done it in 05 too and then removed it

Lets not forget Chelsea had it from 1971 - 1986

I really hope the gold star is a permanent addition to this seasons EPL shirt and all Chelsea shirts for years and years to come.... and then we'll add another... and another... and another

They are selling the top on the megastore with the star but with no printing for exact same price as it is with the champions of europe on the back.

So it looks like they will be wearing a star next season !

I would've guessed the star would be permanent. Judging by Roman's speech after Saturday (well what was reported anyway). He was always passionate about European success anyway, and having us recognised as one of the elite clubs in football. Now we have a reminder of how far this club has come :D

but why the f**k is kit without gold star 50 pounds and kit with gold star 65 pounds. their kit pricing policy is justridiculous ?!

Because when you select it , it doesnt charge you for shirt printing ..........They probally will fix this later though so you can buy it for cheaper without shirt printing.

Fucking annoyed mine doesn't have a star. Going to have to buy another top now. Although the prices on the megastore are fucking ridiculous & doesn't look like you'll be able to buy them anywhere else.

If I had to guess, gold star is only on kits when we play in Champions League. From the store online, they are selling two different sets of 12/13 kits

Kit 1 - Title 12/13 UCL Home Soccer Jersey - includes the star - http://www.chelseame...cer-jersey.html

Kit 2 - Title 12/13 Home Soccer Jersey - no star - http://www.chelseame...cer-jersey.html

So based on the fact they are selling them separately and the one with the star states its the UCL Home kit, I would guess the star is only for Champ League matches.

That star is only commemorative someone told me in the kingston store today so i don't think it will be on the kit.

Interesting , if anyone is going to the stadium megastore can they find out for further clarification .

Found this...tumblr_lyi48wm8sf1qmhxoto1_500.jpeg

And your point is? Even the home kit there is a fake so why would the other two be real?
