Couldn't find a baseball thread on the site so I decided to start one for the season opener tonight. Can't say I'm a huge fan but I try to follow as much as I can.

GO BLUE JAYS!

Jays should be in for a very interesting season. I'm going to the game Thursday. This city gets amazing when the Jays are winning. Like 45K people at every game and loud. It's a lot of fun.

They prob. have the best chance in winning anything for this city in a long, long time.

For sure. Plus, it's not like you could get Leafs tickets even if you wanted to. Rogers Centre is pretty ugly for a baseball stadium, but it's still really nice to go down to a game with a bunch friends, pay $15, go for drinks after, and enjoy a summer evening by the lake.

Man, Lester to Oakland and Price to Detroit.

Oakland with the best rotation in baseball right now IMHO.

Such a shame this two teams will have to meet in the Semi-finals. Imagine Verlander, Price, Scherzer vs Kazmir, Gray, Lester in a World Series Final.

Amazing deadline day! Best in years!

Amazing, Oakland has 4 starters with sub 3.00 ERA's.

I think Oakland have to be the favorites, but Detroit have been in the WS and ALCS the last two years. They're good and have Miguel Cabrera. Should be a fun ride!!!

Is it just me or does Costa have a striking resemblance to former big leaguer and manager Ozzie Guillen?

Is anyone watching Giants-Cardinals? They've been playing for 4 hours now, what a match! I can't wait the World Series to start, Kansas seem to be very strong.
