Daniel Sturridge

Lukaku > Sturridge.

Danny had a point to prove against us, and by scoring, he made it. Fair play to him for not celebrating as well, especially considering how frustrating his time with us was. He has a chance to grow as a player at Liverpool, and good luck to him.

Not at the moment IMO. Maybe in the future yes, but Sturridge is still ahead of Lukaku atm which really isn't surprising considering he's 4 years older.

Watching him. Excellent player, what were we thinking, I will never know. Movement, trickery, pace, goals. I don't think there is much difference between him and Ba. Different players tbh, but watching today's game I just know I am going to be regretting selling him to Liverpool.

It really is sad, I always got shot down for saying Sturridge was good enough to be our second choice striker but yeah, gutted he's left us still. Don't blame him though, good move for his own career. If Torres wasn't here Danny could've been a very important player for us by now.

Nice litmus test today. Two players scored.

One was someone we let go and represents our past. The other is a guy on loan from us who represents our future (hopefully).

Some fans bitch and moan about us letting one go. Others celebrate the great job the other is doing and look to his return.

:tophat:

So every goal he scored, bunch of you will come here and cry... (Y) Get over it...he's gone (not that I'm glad, I really like him)

Shutup. There is an ex-blue thread for a reason. If you don't like him, that is you, don't understand why personally why but he deserves recognition when he does well, especially as he was not given a chance to prove himself here.

Once we get Lukaku back and have him banging in goals left and right, people won't even remember we once had this guy what was his name again, Danny something?

I don't think we'll simply forget about Sturridge. Personally I would've loved to see us going into next season with Sturridge, Lukaku and Ba, would've been a nice, versatile, young strike force.

Sturridge is making a name for himself, and with this Suarez ban he'll definitely solidify himself as one of the premier strikers in the league in my opinion. He's a good striker with a bright future ahead of him.

Yup no denying Lukaku is the future :)

As The Skipper says - would have been great having Danny and Lukaku and BA :)

Oh well Lukau, BA and xxxx - still sounds good to me :)

Last season our best attack was when we ran out Danny Boy - Torres - Mata. CFC scored a lot of goals w/ that formation. Ask man U. If it wasn't for Webb CFC would have beaten them @ da Bridge.

For me he is better than Torres, and it was mistake letting him go...but I won't cry for him after every goal he scores... It was stupid form our board but I don't care about him anymore....
