I'm actually going to be voting for a political party really soon. It's gonna be my first voting as I'm 18 :D

Perhaps my vote can decide the fate of my country! lol

Mine is in almost the exact same spot.

Could someone pardon my ignorance of UK politics and bother to tell me in a few words what the hell happened to the Labour after the 80s?

This looks more like a different party which holds the same name rather than one which had any sort of possible enlightenment.

That's exactly what labour turned into. I don't even know how they can claim to be the same party, they're a shadow of their former selves. While not knowing what exactly happened it seems that's just the way you have to play in the political field of our country. Saw the same happen with the Liberal Democrats. Once they got into power with the Conservatives they simply played along with the latter's regime.

The only reason Labour's had a success in the polls this year is because people are pissed of with the situation. It's not a vote for Labour, it's a vote against the government. Of course I don't need to tell you about European politics, but here it's the same people supporting the same views just representing a different colour.

On a seperate note, what's everyone's view on, the Socialist, Hollande becoming the new President of France?

It might give the immigrants a better chance at life in France, though whether or not that is in France's best interest I can't tell. As for the all important foriegn policy, I see no changes what so ever. Though for some reason, I always find my self happy whenever a party in the left win the elections in a country.

The blind masses accuse Obama of being a Socialist. They shall crush them with cold truth.

crowdgraphpngphp.png

Anywhere near the centre automatically makes a US politician a commie. Obama is centre-right, at best, and the conservatives still loathe him. I don't know why most American politicians hold capitalism as some kind of divine gift, when 15% of your huge population are in poverty that's a good indicator that something isn't working.

Been involved in local politics for years and graduated in it. You cant escape politics its in everything :D

The idiot! How can he just give iPads away? That is foolish, he is pretending that he treats everyone equal by creating a problem and then fixing it. He should first attempt to bring equality to pressing issues like the outer city projects not pissing out technology to schools.

I hate it when rich people describe themselves as 'Socialist'. The minute I stop being lower middle class I'll probably reject the teachings of Marxism proudly say that I'm a fat capitalist pig, because deep down I know I'm a greedy sonofabitch.

Sometimes you have to piss an entire country off to get it back on it's feet. This Hollande sounds exactly the same as Kevin Rudd our former Prime Minister.

I WANT JOHN HOWARD BACK!

Please do not refer to these charlatans as "socialist"... Robert Owen (now he was a true socialist) will be rolling in his grave. Did u guys know that Ghaddafi was a supposed to be socialist?

My point is anybody can call himself anything these days, but please do not insult an idealogy -- that has existed before any modern day bullshit politics or political labels -- by calling these fekkers socialists. rant over

I really think the National Party can make a high score in 2017 because for the 5 next years, frontiers will be as open as they are already. I'm not against immigration, but we came to a point where France (like other countries) cannot afford places for everyone, considering french people cannot already have a job. It's the same about all the stuff coming from countries like China which kills the french industry.

I quite envy countries like Australia or Canada who lets in only workers they need, and I don't feel they are considered as closed as North Korea. Same for Germany who helps his own industry by not importing things from China, Bresil or India

I'm not being racist or anything but since no statistics are available how many people in France actually have French ancestry (as in caucasian/white)? Is immigration really that crazy in France?

In a sick way this makes me laugh. As it is essentially the opposite to what happened to Australia.

I think understand what Domenech meant when he wanted more 'technical players'. It's hard to say anything about ethnicities without sounding racist or at the very least ignorant so I'll keep my fat mouth shut.

Looks like I wouldn't have done very in well in a French youth academy being 173cm and 70 kg.

Just because they're black doesn't mean they're automatically 7 feet tall and as intelligent as Kalou. Thierry Henry is an example of that. And I don't think the Africanisation of the French national team is a bad thing, some of France's greatest ever came from Africa, like Zidane, Thuram, Desailly, Makelele, Vieira, Henry, etc. The only non-African white French footballers I can think of that had a similar impact would be Platini and Fontaine, perhaps even guys like Barthez and Petit.

It's crazy, it's almost as if some people think Black players are only good because they're athletic and they don't have tecnhical ability or intelligence.
