The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Hands-off Impressions

-If it is raining, villagers will run for shelter, and if it’s deathly cold, they will seek a source of warmth. If faced with an attack, they will defend themselves, whether you are involved or not.

-Approaching storms can be spotted from afar, and will eventually reach you, affecting your steering ability and wreaking havoc on your vessel.

-The new economic system in place sees merchants charge more for fish the further they are from the sea, for example.

-Depending on whether it is broad daylight or night, certain creatures may go into hiding, awaken, or even become stronger/weaker.

-Sign usage is faster, able to be utilised fluidly as an integral part of your offensive arsenal. Each of the five Signs now have a primary and secondary application, i.e., the Igni fire blast can be held to develop into a flamethrower.

-The potions will work in a different way than in The Witcher 2. So now you will prepare them, you will drink them before a fight, but you can release the effect of those whenever you want. So it’s not like you’ve drunk the potion and you have 30 seconds of boost and then it wears off. You can start the fight in the moment it suits you, and if the fight proves hard, you can just release the effect through your metabolism. But if the fight is easy, you can preserve that and use it in the next fight.

-The inventory will be akin to a decidedly more traditional, classic grid system

-The story will have a definitive end – ergo, you will not be able to continue past end-game and tie up loose ends, yet they feel you make of the experience what you will, and missing out on one minor interaction here or there is not such a big deal.

well... that's one MORE game on PS4 to cancel. things looking spiffy for this generation so far. then again, none of the gaming industry has much to offer in terms of novelty and quality right now.

I'm playing Second Son, FIFA and Dark Souls 2 for a while.

playing EA UFC at the moment.

i played the THQ games a lot and i have to say, EA did a good job with this one. graphics and animations are great. the controls are a little bit "overloaded" but i'm getting into it.

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls were the best games I've ever played: immersion, clever world design, seamless networking, and fantastic tactical combat makes the game. Haven't tried Dark Souls II just yet, but soon.

From Software's stuff trumps Elder Scrolls IMO. Well, not really the same thing, but even Dragon Age Origins was superior to Elder Scrolls in terms of RPG. Wasn't impressed with Skyrim and how the myriad of quests and small tasks don't really affect anything within the game. Factions, friends, and choices have little to no effect on gameplay. No re-playability whatsoever as no one can go through the ridiculously slow voice acting more than once (no skipping either).

Not crazy about the witcher series either. Lot's of action, but the RPG aspects are extremely poor - very linear as well. *** Haven't played Witcher 3 yet though!

BTW, I'm a software developer who work with very similar tech used in most games (the big ones). Did some animation/cgi in college and game dev itself many years ago. So, I understand some of the limitations developers face.

Update: Dark Souls II is a huge led down for me; this article is spot on IMO: http://metro.co.uk/2014/03/30/why-dark-souls-ii-isnt-as-good-as-dark-souls-readers-feature-4681992/

Red Dead Redemption 2 release date is set for next year, Fall 2015 if the rumors are to be believed.

While Grand Theft Auto is the most popular franchise of Rockstar, Red Dead Redemption has been regarded as one of their best games yet and it's no surprise that they are making Red Dead Redemption 2 right now.

According to the Motoring Crunch, The senior engineer, Feinstein, revealed that he is working on a sequel to a famous IP from Rockstar. The lad is was part of the team that brought the Max Payne series. Based on the reveal, only three titles are in contention for getting a sequel. In a report by the Motoring Crunch, they have spotted the profile of senior game developer at Rockstar on a social networking site, it appears that the next game that Rockstar is working on right now is Red Dead Redemption 2.

They are identified as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and Manhunt. All three are Rockstar's success stories and they all deserve a sequel. However, Red Dead Redemption is the most popular of the pack.

As reported by Cyberland, Red Dead Redemption 2 release date was tentatively set at Fall 2015 and with Rockstar working on it right now, gamers should expect an E3 2015 announcement and the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date on Novemnber 2015 for the PS4 and Xbox One.

What do you want to see in Red Dead Redemption 2? Would we see the return of the Marston family or would it have another protagonist? Sound off in the comments below!

As per another source: Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released along with GTA 5 this very year!

Red Dead Redemption 2: All You Need To Know On The Release Date, Reports And Rumors Of The Long Awaited Next Series Of The Red Dead Video Game

Since 2010, there has not been any Red Dead game and we must admit that we miss it. However, one analyst suggested that Rockstar is getting ready to launch its new entry this year. It has been rumored that the game will not be called Red Dead Redemption 2, but we have concrete information that it will be called RDR2. Since there is no official announcement we are collating news, rumors and speculations we have.

The Rockstar Games has not announced the release date but back in 2012, Rockstar had confirmed that it wasn't completely finished with the Red Dead franchise and had plans to release a new installation in future. Rockstar says, "We don't always rush to make sequels but that does not mean that we won't get back to them eventually. Stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series."

According to Colin Sebastian, an analyst, the Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released at the end of 2014 along with the GTA 5 PC. It is anticipated that the next Red Dead title will not be called Read Dead Redemption 2. This is because the original Redemption released in 2004 was called Red Dead Revolver, which was followed by Red Dead Redemption in 2010. It is rumored that the next game will be known as Red Dead Rebellion.

As we wait Rockstar to eventually provide some official details about this, there are few thoughts as what the fans would expect to see in the next Red Dead series. There is expected increased protagonist depth. Similarly beautiful environments as in the earlier series, creation of a prequel, an improved control system which is similar to the improvements made between GTA 4 and GTA 5. The next Red Dead could have the same improvement. The fans also want to see more varied missions and the introduction of single player process.

There is a lot of what the fans of Red Dead series want to see. All we have to do is to wait for the announcement of the official release date as we wait for the next series of the Red Dead video game.
