Kylian Mbappé

is not going to renew at PSG

we should grab him next summer

NOT joking

especially if CHO fucks us

if we dumped Alonso, Bakayoko, and Drinkwater

plus sell CHO (if he refuses to renew)

and then just add in the Eden and Morata cash

that, just from those 6, is around £305-315m or so

and still leaves us a shit tonne to sell next summer (granted some we get fuckall for compared to if we hd sold them in summer 2018)

Moses

Willian

Bats (probably)

Happy (if he is meh this season)

Pedro

Luiz

Zappacosta

Baba

Kenedy

van Ginkel

plus £50m or so in other liquidations from loan army (the limits are coming)

just from that is around £235-245m more

add that to the other £305-315m

we will have £550m or so to play with (even if I am off by 10%, still half a BILLION QUID net cash to go out reek havoc with

Mbappe deffo can be had and we would still have £250m to 300m MORE to spend without Roman coughing up a fiver on top

that means  we can still buy

World class

CB

LB

Striker

and 2 more wingers (1 if CHO stays, then maybe look at another CB)

that 5 (on top of Mbappe) could all be done TOP notch

for around £300m or so

we need to keep on liquidating players and build that war chest up up up for summer 2020

Mbappe is the one player I would genuinely through stupid money at. Superb player. Think he'd tear it up here too

Manchester United star set to remain at Old Trafford after failed transfer negotiations with Euro giants

https://www.caughtoffside.com/2019/07/23/manchester-united-star-set-to-remain-at-old-trafford-after-failed-transfer-negotiations-with-euro-giants/

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku’s proposed move to Inter Milan is reportedly off, after the two clubs failed to agree on a final fee.

Speculation over the Belgian’s future at Old Trafford has been rife after the last few months and he added fuel to the rumours by expressing a desire to play in Serie A back in April.

Inter have been the frontrunners to land the 26-year-old throughout the summer transfer window, with new boss Antonio Conte even admitting last week that he is a huge admirer of the United star.

However, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Lukaku is now set to remain in Manchester after failed transfer negotiations with the Euro giants in recent weeks.

The Italian publication states that Inter are unwilling to meet United’s €83 million valuation and will now turn their attention to alternative targets ahead of the August 8 deadline.

Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Lille forward Rafael Leao are top of Inter’s list, as Conte aims to replace the outgoing Mauro Icardi, who he has already deemed surplus to requirements at San Siro.

Unless another top club comes in for Lukaku before the start of the new season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will retain his full set of strikers ahead of a crucial campaign.

I'd rather not have him playing vs us. He usually comes back in good shape from pre-season and hits the ground running before slumping in winter.

And , yep.. We just sold a kid who has been with us since he was 9. Sad day. Very few kids from those age groups end up becoming pro footballers, let alone at the top flight of a major European league. I don't think we can understand how crazy it is to have someone be with the club since they were just a child and actually make it as a top flight footballer in any big league. The sad part is that he was clearly talented, but just a couple notches below our caliber. It's still great to have him be successful elsewhere. We have some more plays this summer , as according to the schedule https://777score.com/football/teams/chelsea-865 the summer promises to be pretty hot ^_^

I agree with you, this child has a future in the football league. And, of course, I understand how difficult it is to say goodbye to my pet, whom he raised for many years. We will follow his progress on the site https://onlinecasinobox.nl/online-casinos/cherry-casino/ and wish him success in the big leagues.

Last year he played 12 games at DMF, 4 at AMF and 31 at CMF so seems a bit of both van de Beek and de Jong, at least in terms of positional play. That said, 10 goals and 9 assists is more direct production than de Jong, so I could see you argument.. At around 10 million quid, I do not think Ajax overpaid. There just are not that many young, super versatile MFers out there who truly can play all 3 major positions well. I tip Marin to have a great season.

Yes but Frenkie is more of an artist on the pitch, whereas Marin an industrial type of player. Something like Federer vs Murray :)

Really good generation of Romanian midfielders, Ianis Hagi (Genk), Marin (Ajax), Baluta (Brighton), Cicaldau (Craiova but not for too long, has a 7M release clause).

Linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs just 12 months ago for £60-70m and now goes to Betis for a fraction of the price.

What happened?

Wouldnt renew and had 1 year left on his contract. Also had an agreement in place with president to be allowed to leave. Still surprised Napoli didnt go for him they were heavily linked but theres talk of them getting James so maybe Carlo would take a punt on him as hes worked with him, which makes sense. Dont think he is damaged goods as such, hes maybe had a few injuries but he is brilliant on his day and is a real coup for Betis.

Just feels super strange to go through a whole summer window without any transfer links for Chelsea.

Seeing Arse, Spuds, and United linked with all these players and signing some of them makes me envious. Don't think anyone has got dramatically better yet, but seeing your club buying new players is always fun.

Though I suppose having a few very talented loanees return does sort of feel like making new signings.

As it stands i think we are getting of very lightly, none of our rivals have really took advantage of our ban, infact if you class Mason, Tammy and Reece as new signings alongside Christian you could argue we've had a better window than Arsenal and United, infact Christian alone puts us better than Arsenal:lol:

Even if it's Drinkwater and Zappacosta...?

Hey, now. We never expected those two to be stars or anything but we were plenty excited to see what they'd become.

We were gonna see the return of the Kante/DD partnership, remember? 😂

Oh, I'd certainly say we've had a better window than Arse so far. They've brought in a bench player from Real Madrid on loan after bringing in a bench player from Barca on loan who flopped last season. Then they buy a teenaged defender who they loan back and won't even see for a year. Meanwhile, they don't appear even close to addressing by far their biggest weaknesses in their defense.

United have been decent thus far and will surely make a few more mega money moves. Seems Pogba will stay now.

Been pretty weird that City and Liverpool have been so quiet but I guess they already have ridiculous squads.

We sure tried to fool ourselves.

The situation with United delights me the most. They have had to spend big money to sign AWB and Daniel James while we just use our talents from the academy to improve the squad and have not spent a cent (Pulisic aside, of course). Hopefully I don't regret saying that long term wise.

Ironic thing is in 2010 we should have bulked the squad up but trusted youth (the likes of Van Der Vaart, Milner, Luiz, Neymar and David James as backup to Cech were available) but in 2017 we had decent youth but bulked up the squad.

Tbf i would have been quite jealous of the AWB signing had we not got Reece coming through, he's Azpi level 1 vs 1.

Given the dick measuring contest United/Liverpool fans and the media are doing with the AWB vs Trent hype it would be very satisfying if Reece comes from nowhere and gazumps them both (like a RB version of Conte catching a nation hyping up a Pep vs Jose title race napping) .

Keep an eye on him, he's destined for great things, if not next summer, than the summer of 2021 he's off to a top team for big money. For me Genk is the best place now if they keep their attacking style like in the last season, Ianis going to simply thrive in that system.

He didn’t miss his official debut, came on 15 mins to go and scored the winning goal 2mins later 👍
