Juan Mata

There are some astounding opinions, it really does amaze me how fickle people are. God so many people talk about they wish players have more loyalty but where isthe loyalty from fans to players. I would be gutted for Mata to leave. I think he is a great asset, and seems such a nice bloke. As Jose said we should be adding quality not subtracting it. I mean Player of the Year but no-one is fussed few months later if he leaves. Pretty sad.

I think fans are blowing this out of proportion, bringing up terms such as loyalty and being plastic.

The likelihood of Mata being sold is basically zero...so let's wait and see how Jose moulds his team this season.

We'll find out by the end of this season how highly Jose rates Mata.

Even if we end up bidding for Rooney, we surely wouldn't be stupid enough to hand them Mata as part of the deal?

Juan, meet Manuel: It's all friendly in Manchester

Manuel Pellegrini has turned up at Chelsea's team hotel in Manchester and been seen shaking hands with Juan Mata, reports Chris Wheeler. Surely the City boss should be looking at defenders not more midfielders after yesterday's showing at Cardiff.

Don't see what all the fuss is about.

Losing Mata wouldn't be the end of the world. He's not untouchable

At the time when we're talking about the need of stability and creating a team which is going to win you trophies/titles, there is a possibility of the best player getting transferred to our main rival. It is not the end of the world, it is perfect recipe for disaster.

It really isn't if you are getting one of their best player in return so it is even.

BBC had said Spurs wanted Mata, changed it to:

"Losing out to their London rivals has delayed Spurs finalising the departure of Bale, although a Chelsea attacker has been identified as a potential replacement.

However, Spurs are frustrated that Chelsea are refusing to sell a player who could now find himself behind Willian in the Stamford Bridge pecking order."

clearly got over their anger us buying Willian and want us to sell them Mata. Why would we sell to them, especially if they consider themselves our rivals, after they refused to sell us Modric.

Also why would Mata want to join a scumbag team who play their football on channel 5??

Mata is more likely to go to United in a straight swap for Rooney(with United perhaps adding £10 million cash), than him getting loaned anywhere.

Our board are not stupid. You don't loan your twice in a row player of the year who's easily worth £45-£55 million if not more. Any type of loan is out of question.
