Kalas isn't even officially part of the first team squad, nor does he have a squad number.

Player profiles are supposed to have a actual 'profiles’ btw.

Kalas played another game this weekend (Vitesse won 4:0), he has played 11 games this season so far. Had a solid game.

Do you watch it? Or do you know enough about him to describe his abilities?

When I have time and when I find a stream I watch the games, yes. But as I have limited free time I mostly have to rely on what I find on the internet. What would you like to know about him? Maybe I can try to give you a decent appraisal.

More or less, if he's got enough potential to one day break through. What's his best position too?

Cannot wait to see him in the Europa League next season.

Aside from a few concentration problems this season, he has been outstanding.

Good lad. In a couple of seasons he will be ready. Maybe another loan in the Netherlands, and a couple of seasons in the Bundesliga would be ideal.

Youngsters Tomas Kalas and Patrick van Aanholt have today completed their loan deals returning them to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem for the duration of the 2012/13 campaign.

Both players were temporarily with the Eredivisie side last term. Czech Under 21 international Kalas 19, made 29 league appearances over the course of the season, while Dutchman Van Aanholt, 21, scored once in nine games having also spent time with Wigan Athletic during late 2011.

Before departing for Holland, Kalas also signed a contract extension with Chelsea committing him to the club until the summer of 2017.

Hopefully after his loan with Vitesse is done he will go to a PL club. Then we'll see how his development cracks on from there.

I would've rather seen Kalas go to a better/more challenging league. Seems a waste sending him to Vitesse, he has excelled himself there, he needs a new challenge.

Just now it is still right place for him. Next year he will be playing in premierleague for Watfrod under mighty Gianfranco Zola.

Kalas extends Blues stay

Czech defender Tomas Kalas has agreed a one-year contract extension on improved terms to stay at Chelsea until 2017.

The 19-year-old centre back, who switched to Stamford Bridge from Sigma Olomouc two years ago, will also spend another year on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, where he made 33 appearances and scored one goal in last season.
