I have no doubts about Alonso’s ability to coach and win football matches. Even looking at his Madrid stint he didn’t “fail” on the actual pitch. He was run out of town by the entitled, pampered babies with monster egos like Vini from what I’ve read. His record there wasn’t bad at all. What I do have big skepticism about is whether these directors and owners will do what’s necessary in the transfer window. Both ins and outs.
