I think there’s a player in there too. I’m just not sure it can happen for him in a team like ours. He was highly effective at Ipswich when no opponent was ever going to park the bus against you. I think there is a player in Delap. Just needs some consistency of play and confidence. Your run in football often is about luck and timing as much as anything - eg Cole Palmer or Vitinha. Even last night against the Wolves - did some really great stuff but just didn't follow through with it due to confidence and game time. That decision to jump in super early and buy Emegha when we did feels so premature now and may fuck us over in the summer. Now we’re going to be getting a player who will have missed half the season.
