Miguelito 459
for me i wouldnt want him...he is great scorer but i dont think he's right for us at all
Shane 2,275
Hmmm, When Anelka has lead the line i.e United away last season, Spurs away this season we seem to play better, I think Drogba should go in the summer tbh, and Bent could lead the line? Pacey player and a great goalscorer tbf
Gianfranco_Z 202
You're saying Drogba out, Bent in?Really?
Shane 2,275
Drogba out, Bent and Lukaku in. Drogba out, Bent and Lukaku in. Drogba out, Bent and Lukaku in.
Gianfranco_Z 202
Lukaku yes. But Bent... REALLY? for £18m? I remember when Sp*rs signed him for £16.5m and it just didn't work out... I'd prefer not to spend that kind of money on something I'd see as a "Yeah it might work". Especially if people are talking about £25m for Lukaku... If he was available for £8-10m then I'd say go for it... £18m is far too much
LDN Blue 7,903
Yeah, £18million is ridiculous. He really is a stupid guy. Sunderland is a great club now that's revived his career, and now he's stabbed them right in the heart. Awful state of affairs.
TrueChelseaBlue 105
Last i heard he was in a Birmingham hotel awaiting talks with Aston Villa.
Madmax 9,219
And it's not even 18 mil - it'll rise to 24 mil with appearances and goals and all that.Really don't understand what Villa are trying to do here.First they let O'Neill walk because they didn't give him the funds he wanted. Then they brought in Houllier who's not got a good PL record. And then they give him 24 mil to splash on - Bent!?! This is the same guy who couldn't live with the pressure of a big money transfer at Spurs. Good luck trying to look at him for saving you from relegation.

spuz 143
Darren Bent. Bargain !!!! Carlo get him now. £18m rising to up to a possible £24m !!!!!!!!!!!!
termninja 5,290
Haha Darren Bent...lol no...
Tomlewis7 0
Id rather we get Andy Carrol than Darren Bent....He's a great instinctive striker (according to stats since 2005 hes scored 81 PL goals, bettered by only the Drog and Shrek with 82), but besides that he cant really hold it up or drop off or anything. Rubber bullets 1,183
To be fair unlike Drogba he tends to finish one on ones 99% of the time. Problem is that he has the be the centre of the attack and with Carlo's reluctance to drop Drogba, he would simply be put in a more wider position and would be rendered useless.
