Absolute beasting for Brazil right now.

The midfield of Gustavo-Paulinho-Ramires is brilliant. Their high workrate not only allows Bernard to cut inside for easy passes with Maicon bombing up the flank, but gives the rest of the attackers ample time to pick out the right person even against a team which has looked to shut up the game.

I know its just Australia, but these 3 could do some things next summer.

I think Paulinho serves his purpose well in the team and was one of the better players at the confed cup. From what I've seen from Fernandinho so far he has alot more work to do before and get a call up in the team and then he can worry about displacing Paulinho :D

Back in the deeper role now ,he would have dealt with Barkley yesterday much better than we did and driven him away from our goal with his ability to intercept and counter .

He was looking very good in that role considering it was early days and when he wins the ball he is positive and our counter attacks are much quicker, this was obviously lacking yesterday and we were back to slow, slow and another negative outcome as result of that.

Not sure what game you were watching but Barkley wasn't threatening at all. Like it or not Mikel pretty much had him under control for almost the whole game.
