People going to forget about what he has already achieved because of a wee bad spell on a average Dortmund team? I suppose Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho aren’t good players either then and shouldnt be considered?

Christian Pulisic is also an example that having a bad run of games/few months in Germany (the season we signed him) doesn’t mean your a poor player, the fickleness in here is actually incredible.

Is he worth the money and wages? Lets be real no player is worth those sums. Is he a once in a generation talent who will go on and become world class in the next 2/3/4 seasons and be one of the best in his position? Absolutely.

A hot streak? Do you hear yourself? He has scored 20 CL goals already aged 20.... He has scored 43 goals in 46 games for club and country this season. It must be the longest hot streak in history because he has scored like 120 goals in 160 odd games as a pro with like 80 of these being in the last 4 seasons.... good god.

The standard of German football is probably the lowest its been in my lifetime. Let's not forget that Werner was banging them in for fun but look at him now. As for the CL, that has an awful lot of rank teams in it too.

Not saying he's crap, just not worth the money or close to it. Personally, i'd rather take Aguero for a couple of years while we search for a good, young striker at a decent price.

Time our scouts (do we even have one?) earned their money and found a player or two instead of lazily going for just another expensive flavour of the month. There's still plenty of very good value for money players out there if you look long and hard enough, as the scouts for the likes of Leicester and Liverpool have shown.

He does not offer much else when he does not score goals and he is clearly very dependent on his teammates giving him good passes. He is currently nowhere near Mbappe level because even when Mbappe do

LOL If that's the kind of money they want, no one is gonna pay for it, especially when clubs are still counting the cost of the pandemic.

This season yes, last season two German sides made it while the runaway champions were dumped out by a diluted Atletico and the 2nd place team were dumped out by the 10th place French side. Not to men

On that basis the PL is shit because look at Hazard and Coutinho on these shores compared to Spain.

He is good and will likely get better with the right setup and management etc.......but too much bagage and too much money.

Too much baggage? What do you mean? His agent? The agent is a problem but look at Ibrahimovic, Lukaku, de Ligt, Donnarumma, Verratti, all these guys who are represented by him and even past clients also. Unfortunately, you want to get the best players chances are you will be dealing with Raiola unfortunately. Or another agent. He gets a lot of publicity aye but agents in general always get a payout, I think we paid the most to agents this year again.

The money yeah I agree, its too much, its a lot. Whoever gets him, will have a huge investment but also chances are they might have to lower their demands with the current market and financial plight due to Covid also. They risk jeopardising a move to a top top club. Bayern wont pay those huge huge wages. We probably wont. Barca definitely cannot afford to. Real may be able to and so may PSG but Real will probably focus on Mbappe you’d think if they wanted to make a statement under Zidane in the market.

Yup his agent, and EH is his prime asset, he will milk the shit out of it. Its just too much money.

Two English clubs reached CL semi finals, while non German club reached it. Furthermore, three English club reached round of 16 in EL, while all German clubs failed reaching round of 16. Why is that the case? Maybe because Bundesliga has just not enough quality?

I have warned you guys about Werner that he is not as good as people make him out to be. Almost all people here claimed that Werner is this insane world class striker that will destroy PL, but ironically the only people that warned TC about Werner's weaknesses were German people.

I can say that Fulham and WBA would be top 10 teams in Bundesliga and I am very confident about this statement. I have been watching Bundesliga so many years and the level of Bundesliga is shambolic. I see only Sheffield that might struggle in Bundesliga. My prediction would be that they reach place 15 or 16 in Bundesliga.

People here overhype other leagues, but they do not realise that currently, PL is far ahead of other leagues. Only La Liga might be a real competition and La Liga used to be no. 1 league for so many years, but since 2018, it all changed. PL is no. 1 and will stay no. 1 for many years to come. Just too much money was spent in recent years and the level of quality coaches in PL is insane.

Not to mention even this year the PL's 2nd team were dumped out thanks to losing to a team that are fighting relegation in Turkey.

This is a very good post. People here need to get with the times a little bit and realise that the PL is the preeminent league again, like it was in the late 70-mid 80's and from about 2004-2009. In 2019 the EL and CL finals had four English clubs and 2021 has a good chance of it happening again, or at least 2-3.

I rate Håland as he has a lot of qualities I like in a CF, however, I don't see him coming to the PL and instantly becoming a 25+ a goal striker. My prediction would be something like 15+ for his first season or two (see Drogba's initial start.) However, owing to his age, you would hope he would then be able accelerate his level and become a elite/25+ goal a season player. That promise is a major reason he is so expensive, rather than his actual level right now.

As for your comments about teams like Fulham and WBA, your also right but this has been the case for longer. I would say people also fail to recognise that the teams in English football ranked 12-25 would typically be fairly comfortable in most of the other top 4 leagues in regards to relegation. That is one of the principle reasons the PL sells so well, its low rank teams are still competitive.

Looks like Dortmund will get CL in the end. Massive win today.

Will be tough still. Still gotta face RB Leipzig and Leverkusen in their last 3 games.

Bayern can afford the buyout clause but, definitely won't give Haaland what he want and destroy their wage structure.

Who says he wants the money they're talking about though for him? One thing is a story about his agents aims or demands and the other is the player. Who would turn down Bayern these days? Not many players tbf. If he remains another season and goes to Bayern then that is an incredible move for him either way. Comes in and is the natural successor to Lewandowski.

Håland at Bayern, and Dortmund (Sancho, Bellingham, and Reyna will soon be gone as well, Reus is aging out, and Moukoko is only 16yo) and RB (Their 2 best CB's are leaving, Nagelsmann eventually too, plus Olmo, Nkunku, Dominik Szoboszlai, Angeliño, and Sabitzer are being hunted hard) gutted means BORING Bayern romps to tile for next 6, 7 years at least

Wolfsburg, Neverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Mönchengladbach can never sustain a true title challenge

Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, and Hertha are meh, Union Berlin are likely one season wonders

the rest are small teams OR old giants in the mud, like Hamburg, Schalke, and Werder

the only thing that would excite me is IF my favourite German team (by far) St Pauli somehow clawed their way up to the topflight in the next season or two

New radiance In this area, St. Pauli is better than it has been for a long time

Dortmund are back in the Top 4 with 2 games left. Just need to win their last 2 games or at least match Eintracht Frankfurt's (5th) results.
