A manager taking responsibility? Preposterous!

Unless we completely lose the plot and results go south in these last few weeks of the season, sacking Tuchel just because we don't get Top 4 would be a fucking stupid decision from the board...again.

‘He’s brought belief and togetherness back’: Tuchel’s first month at Chelsea https://theathletic.com/2410946/2021/02/26/hes-brought-belief-and-togetherness-back-tuchels-first-month-at-Chelsea/

Personally, rather we get Camavinga as our 'big name' considering Haaland is destined for City.

Werner----Havertz

Pulisic---------------------Ziyech

Kovacic---Camavinga

Chilwell----Konate---Silva----James

Mendy

Giroud/CHO/Mount/Kante/Gilmour/Alonso/Rudiger/Christensen/Dave/New GK

Camavinga has not impressed at all.

I’ll temporarily take this back if I had the chance. You’ll definitely not win this back to back after today.

2/10 for TT for what is probably....the most embarrassing result of the season. Not worst (it’s close though) but embarrassing.

I'm wondering is it possible to keep this level of defence and concede like 7 or 8 goals in full next

Nope...

No one expected us to get 10 points from United, Liverpool, and Atletico twice.

Still have faith in Tuchel. Hopefully this is just a blip.

West Brom scored 5 goals from an xG of 1.41 today. They had one of those days.

When it rains, it pours.

That’s the perfect definition today and a remainder that this is the near SAME defence that conceded 50+ goals last season.

Keep on tampering with it, and you can reopen that terrible defence. Why change things that weren’t broken? Why was Christensen on the bench for? I know Silva is back, but he’s rusty. And while I can’t really blame him for the sending off, the second yellow he should have done better to avoid doing a late challenge.

Don't think there was any issue with the XI, bar Werner at ST. Jorginho's capitulation really cost us today. 3 misplaced passes leading to two yellow cards and a West Brom 2nd goal.

Silva may have been rash but he should've never been in the situation in the first place. Especially when he's just come back.

I questioned the wisdom of starting Werner as the ST against West Brom but given they actually pressed us high up instead of sitting back, there was actually space for us to exploit but we did F all with it.

Also, think it's becoming clearer that Tuchel wants mobility, pace, link-up etc from the person leading the line. Giroud doesn't provide that unless he scores. Werner can provide that but that's not his best position. Havertz would have started today, IMO, had he not started all 3 of Germany's games.

Can anyone give me a reasonable argument as to why Pulisic was dropped at half time?

No.

Seems like subbing him off wasn't part of the plan...

Remember Burnley a couple of months back? He injured himself in the warm up when he slipped. Now this. A fucking travesty.

He should have brought Havertz on for Pulisic and switched to a back 4.

Werener off..

Odoi on to create width and have Havertz down the middle.

Make me manager.. .I'd fucking clip any player at the first sign of not performing against the shit teams we lose to.

Our Premier League record this season:

VS Top Half teams
under Lampard - W2 D2 L5 = 8 pts
under Tuchel - W3 D2 = 11 pts

VS Bottom Half teams
under Lampard - W6 D3 L1 = 21 pts
under Tuchel - W3 D2 L1 = 11 pts

Not every team have played yet this weekend...so, the stat may not reflect the table accurately but only 2 teams' position can be switched around - Leeds and Villa. If Villa win tonight, then that stat looks like this instead:

VS Top Half teams
under Lampard - W1 D3 L5 = 6 pts
under Tuchel - W3 D1 = 10 pts

VS Bottom Half teams
under Lampard - W7 D2 L1 = 23 pts
under Tuchel - W3 D3 L1 = 12 pts

Either way, our results against the better and worse teams seem to have gone in the opposite direction since Tuchel took over. We're better against top half sides now but have gotten worse against the bottom half sides.
