The Tuchel Thread

Breath of fresh air really. He's made 20-odd team changes in his games so far, kept almost the whole squad (Sorry Tammy) on their toes

Not getting carried away. Just about 4th now with Everton and West Ham having games in hand + tough run-in coming up.

A manager taking responsibility? Preposterous!

Unless we completely lose the plot and results go south in these last few weeks of the season, sacking Tuchel just because we don't get Top 4 would be a fucking stupid decision from the board...again.

‘He’s brought belief and togetherness back’: Tuchel’s first month at Chelsea https://theathletic.com/2410946/2021/02/26/hes-brought-belief-and-togetherness-back-tuchels-first-month-at-Chelsea/

With Leicester having major injury problems and Man Utd playing safe with both Man City and West Ham as their next two PL fixtures......we could move up more.

He will need the summer to sort the team out on a whole but it is nothing less than incredible that he has managed to transform the team into such a powerhouse in that short time. Having watched the development over the last weeks, I have to say that Chelsea should go to Lampard‘s house and sack him again 🤣

We get it. You think Lampard wasnt even an average manager. Thing is, now, most will agree.

Clearly, anyone who doubted Tuchel’s appointment has undoubtedly been convinced, even the pro Frank side.

Posts are beginning to sound like a broken record, repeatedly dwelling on us sacking Lampard and replacing him with Tuchel. It will more so start to annoy some folk than make them laugh bud.

Maybe something more relevant to the time, many agreed the time FL had to go but gets monotonous seeing the same comments or similar ones over and over...

I've spoke to Chelsea fans, who are still bitter  about Lampard and feel Lampard should be still in charge, so they still haven't managed to fully appreciate Tuchel. I feel this will always stick with Tuchel, for the duration of the time he is here.

Amazing how a weak PE teacher who plays a shower of shit style and manages to lose against every dross still gets so much appreciation. The coward fucked off last time to City. His deluded c*ck s*ckers should follow him. This guy put us in the mess our proper coach has to correct now.

Even the players were fed up of the arrogant West Ham boy and City legend. He can only sit in his chair, fold his arms and do fuck all. That‘s it.

If you are going to argue that I am being disrespectful to a club legend-he is no legend for me. Terry, Drogba are legends. Lampard is just a City merchant who is arrogant, spoilt and giving it the biggun‘

That‘s how it feels to have a proper coach instead of a shower of shit PE teacher fraud.

TT is doing much better than the shower of shit fraud Lampard. He should fk off to City like last time and play the assistant fanny over there. Shitty PE teacher he is.

You are actually starting to get irritating now. You were already warned once by @Jason and you acknowledged the warning and then you continue with your childish insults. Yes, he looked a little bit out his depth but please remember this is a legend we are talking about who still guided us into the Champions League with a transfer ban

Think he is just trying to wind people up. He can't help it. Ohh and just got another notification with another reply from him, no doubt an insult.

Yes, but you are coming across as a bit of a troll. You say you are entitled to your opinion, yet when Jason warned you, you acknowledged it and now are continuing with the repeated abuse again. Why does every point you make about Tuchel have to compare to Lampard. BTW, some P.E teacher he must of been if he guided us to CL footy last season right? ...

Because we got lucky, our points tally didn‘t deserve CL football. Our opponents were all in crisis.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. That is a easy way to get out of it. We were in crisis! Losing Hazard and not being able to buy players. Compare the quality of our squad now with last season and whatever the inconsistencies of other teams, Lamps did brilliant. The money being spent and the competition increasing in the league, it is no surprise to see the points tally being not as high as usual for the 4th placed team.

Could you please stop bashing a club legend. Yes he really is a club legend, even if some are bitter he wanted to keep playing football after his time at Chelsea.

He was not ready to manage a large club like Chelsea. I see fans at Red Cafe call Ole a PE Teacher and all I think is, you’re not really a fan.

I honestly hope SFL goes out and gets more experience and at some time in the future there is SFL Chelsea manager V2.0. Lets face it, all managers in the past decade are eligible for Chelsea retirement after two years.

Ehhhhh, I'm sorry but I have to disagree on this here. Lampard did not do brilliantly.

Yes we lost Hazard and we were not able to buy players, but you think if someone like TT was appointed last season, they'll do worse than Lampard or something? You're giving Lampard way too much credit here. Last season was completely shambolic, except we got 4th place. The stats and shocking results do not lie.

Think about it, how can the worst Chelsea coach under the Roman era, did a superb job?

Nothing to do with respecting Lampard or the job he did last season or whatever.

Just its monotonous to log on look in a thread and see the same drivel basically. When theres more relevant/more recent things related to the games or Tuchel we could be talking about.

Must be about the 283747th variation of how much better is Tuchel than Lampard in a period of about 10 games from the same guy. Not even an ounce of explanations or any analysis just a repetition of a mind numbingly unfunny/uninteresting comments which is obviously an attempt at trying to be witty/a dig to some people, which again I don’t see anyone complaining about Frank’s sacking on here now and haven’t done for the best part of a month.

I get there is obviously an intent to wind people up but it goes from a bit of a joke and a laugh at first to consistently looking like a moron on a daily/weekly basis posting this when nobody is hugely interested in Franks sacking now or even disputing Tuchel being better. Kinda feel sorry for the guy that he can’t see that himself 🤣

Well the squad we had last season, I saw no chance of us even getting top 4. I don't think most managers would of done better with that squad. Yes I do think he done brilliantly. No Hazard. People may mock Luiz, however we sold our most experienced defender to a rival and finished well clear of them in the end. We went with our front three last season with Barkley, Pedro and Abraham. LOL. Pulisic then got a run and often him, Willian were with Abraham. The defence was a shambles.

Of course he done a brilliant job. Lamps got the best out of the squad we had and yes we done very well. That is why he was on the list of nominations for manager of the year, albeit it went to Klopp deservedly, but the fact he had a nomination reflects the job he did with the task on hand.

Considering no players bought and juggling cup competitions with Europe, yes he did brilliant.

Someone at the calibre of Tuchel very likely wouldn't have accepted the job at that point.

Yes the season wasn't perfect, yes Lampard made some very strange decisions (shoehorning an out of sorts Kante in every game he was available drove me up the wall) but there was enough encouragement from when the performances did come together that it could have progressed into a good end product. We were also largely good in the big games despite often not getting the result we desired, he also got a level out of Pulisic that not even Tuchel has managed to do (at BVB or so far here).

The hope was that the good part of his management would become more dominant over the green part, unfortunately the opposite happened and yes there was no arguments he deserved the sack when he got it, but let's not water down last season, we lost our elite game changer (for all intents and purposes lost two world class player's given Kante's form) and had a keeper almost throwing shots into the net, to get a top four spot with those handicaps was a decent achievement regardless of whether the points tally would usually be enough or not.

It feels good to have a good tactician again. The trait he has that I like the most is his pro-activeness. As soon as he sees someone heavily underperforming in the first half, he subs them in 45th minute.

This is something that literally never happened under Frank.

Honestly bro, that is not true. Arsenal this season he hooked off Werner and Kovacic at H/T. This season against WBA, he took off Alonso and Kovacic at H/T and his changes paid off. Even last season against Arsenal when we won 2-1 at Emirates, he took off Emerson just before the 35th minute and brought on Jorginho because we were getting dominated and that changed the game. Also took off Tomori and put Lamptey on. The changes worked brilliantly. Yes, Tuchel is more of a tactician but let's not just paint out that Lamps was some naive manager who just did not bother to make changes, because he did.

Valid example with last season's win at Arsenal.

As for the ones at Arsenal and West Brom this season, given we were so bad in the first half of both games, you would be hard pressed to find any manager that would not make changes at HT.
