Ya know i've been reading here this morning, about how bad some players were Mount etc, yes i know he and they had poor games, and there were even a couple of folk who were calling for Lamps to be sac

So much for looking a safe bet for the Top 4, aye?  That was a fucking atrocious performance!

I don't wanna hear any more complaints from Giroud over lack of playing time. The dude is dire

The first half looked as if somehow West Ham was lucky to escape with the 0-0, but Giroud was out of tune.
The second half was poor. The West Ham goalkeepr did n't even have to save anything. We had possession but we were not good enough. Total lack of penetration.

Worst game of the season for me, make no mistake we look tired out there, city and Valencia tapped alot of juice. But still no freaking excuse for how we defend, its borderline criminal now. We cant defend corners and set-pieces at all most of the time....its almost a free goal for the opposition. And why the fuck is Willy taking our corners etc? Cant Frank see he never gets beyond the first man? We really do not have someone better to take them? Dont we practice corners wtf? Yes its a transition, it will take time but come'on now get the basics in order or we will keep on paying a high price. And we lack quality all over, so many average players or spent players.

I hope the board is watching cuz we are in dire need of quality.....Lamps can only do so much.

We need Willian replacement, CB, LB and allround striker. Thats something we can bring over 2 windows and within two seasons when our youth develops we are back to challenging the title.

Just stick to the current plan with Lamps and bring quality players. The similarites are near identical to how Pool played under Klopp in the beggining.

Yeah I hope so man......but Klopp gets to pick whom he wants and he gets them. There is very little chance the likes of Marina or whomever will do that here. And Klopp was and is a world class manager.....this coming summer will once and for all tell us what we need to know about our ambition and willingness to get better and better. Act slow....act too late....and getting not so decent players and imo it should be bye bye to those having power over these matters.

He didn't get a keeper or CB of any note for over two years and wasn't given a single signing this summer.

He also still two years on hasn't been backed with a proper like for like replacement for Coutinho.

I actually don't see the Liverpool comparison barring the fact we're a flawed team on the up. Liverpool were great in the big games but very so so against the lesser ones where we're the other way round, we tend to play with more patience and want to dominate possesion and the game.

If we're going to force a comparison with another big game in their early stages of development I would say we share a lot more comparisons to 16/17 City than Liverpool.

We really fucked up this week could've build some distance again, hopefully Lampard stops with this novice ideas to start 2 players who haven't played in years, Aston Villa are no pushovers.

Doesnt matter he still got those he wanted and they paid the outlay required. Coutinho? He has far better now and more balanced. They took barca to the cleaners for him and build on that.

THey have spent big these last windows, they figured out where they were weak and went for the kill.

I would say he did clever transfers rather than picking the most sought after ones. At the time there was not a lot of clubs after Southampton's Mane, nor Newcastle's Wijnaldum, Roma's Salah, Hull's Robertson etc. Matip was also a clever freebie when maybe only some Bremen or Frankfurt type of clubs where interested in him. He was clearly on a limited budget and most of his buys where financed from the Ibe, Benteke, Joe Allen, Coutinho, Sakho departures.

I would say only Van Dijk and Alisson and maybe to some extent Fabinho were transfers he had to fight other clubs off to get them, all the others were maybe 4th - 5th place material at that moment that he identified as being top class in a few seasons and he was completely right.

But I don't think he gets to pick whoever he wants, even in this moment I am sure he has to run a specific budget and think his deal through from an economic point of view otherwise he'd have surely improved his squad in the summer with at least two top additions, but he did not.

Hope Lampard does the same next summer and asks for clever deals rather than the flavour of the week

Point is, if Klopp was being "fully backed" those players to fix their problems would have arrived in 2016 not 2018.

It's no coincidence that the year they don't make any money from sales is the year their only signing is a 16 year old from Fulham. I mean he's brought well when he's had the chance but by the same logic used on here he's only actually been properly backed in 1 window out of 8.

On a positive, how well has Pulisic adapted? Brilliant again yesterday

So full of confidence right now.  Great ideas on the ball at the moment.  Long may it continue...

Thats the point as you said, clever buys but there were still his buys. And when he needed quality to take them further he got them, on the spot.

Thats because he has spent a good amount and are already stacked. YEs he could do with some more depth but its very hard to disposes what he's got already. Conte wanted the likes of vvd, he saw his potential. Not that Conte is some genius with transfers but you get my point. Klopp got the players he wanted, no matter the outlay and had the backing of the board to get rid of those that didnt fit in or spent. We are the opposite. I very much looking forward to what the likes of Marina etc have in store come summer.

I think they were mad as ass to not buy a couple players this summer

(Origi, who is dregs, is literally their only real backup at all three front positions)

they have fuckall backup at

CF Origi

RW Origi (the utter pants Xherdan Shaqiri  has been basically banned from the club by herr Klopp since September. All year he has played 25 minutes, with half of that at the end of the Community Shield, Klopp did let him sit on the bench yesterday, lololol)

LW Origi

AMF they have ONE on the roster, the just back from injury meh 32yo-in-the-spring Lallana

DMF none  (and now Fabinho is toast for the next 10 or games)

LB literally no backup (emergency is washed-up 34yo-in 4 weeks MF Milner, roflmaooooooooo)

RB (if Gomez is playing CB, they have NO backup here as Clyne is out, perhaps for the season)

and only 3 quality CB's (and only 4 total on the roster, with one of them again being their main backup RB in Gomez)

that is INSANE that they didnt buy players this summer, pure madness, they knew they had around SIXTY to SEVENTY potential games this year (Super Cup, Community Shield, EPL regualr season, EFL Cup, FA Cup, FIFA World Club Championships, and  the CL)

IF Origi goes down, they have no backup wingers nor CF's

they now have no DMF (Fabinho injury)

they went ages with no AMF due to Lallana injury (and he is shit anyway)

now they have no backup at either fullback if Gomez is playing at CB (unless you count Milner, lololol, and if he is playing LB, that leaves you with a  total of FOUR CMF'ers (and one of those is basically semi-frozen out by Klopp in Naby Keita), NO DMF's and ONE ageing, just back from a long term injury pants AMF on the roster atm

ffs, I thought OUR board was cray

Victimpool is only a few key injuries away from a potentially massive implosion unlike anything I have ever seem (and have 13 games in 40 days, including basically 2 games in a 22 hour period on different CONTINENTS, so they have to split that already crazy thin squad into two)

Unfortunately unless the injury is to VVD or both fullbacks I think they will still have enough to win the league. They can just grind it out most weeks and unlike last year City don't look like they have the quality to go on a massive run to take advantage of any blip.

The lead they've built up is massive even at this early stage and the determination and hunger they have to win is the thing is huge, I can see them performance wise faltering quite bad in the second half of the season but similar to us in 2015 they will have the know how and individual quality to grind out the results.

if they lose Firmino they are fucked

if theu lose either winger they are partially fucked

and like you said the fullbacks (losing TAA is eiser to replace because they have a proper backup in Gomez, unless he is having to play CB)

they have no DMF now, so the turgid Hendo will have to slide in there (and he is WEAK on defence)

Here is literally their backup lineup as of now

GK Adrian

CB Lovren (pure dregs)

CB Gomez

LB Milner (34yo and was pants there when he was younger anyway)

RB NONE (as Gomez is now playing CB)

DMF Henderson (and this is what we will see now, with Fabinho out for a month)

CMF OX

AMF NONE (unless you slide OX here, and then you play the not-Klopp-trusted Naby Keita at CMF with no more MFers at all 3 positions as Milner is at LB)

LW Origi (dregs)

RW NONE (unless Klopp un-freezes Shaqiri, who is pure shit anyway)

CF NONE as Origi is at LW

they will have to use academy players if they do not buy players and if they have a spate of injuries

that is madness for a team that claims to be the best on the planet atm

I so hope they are exposed and exposed BADLY

It they were to lose the league now its be bye bye Klopp. 11 point gap in December is madness. City don't exactly look themselves either. So even with the odd injury no one looks capable of getting run good enough.

They've gotta lose one first.
