I really don’t think Tchouameni looks all that impressive even in his “best bits” youtube highlights. Just looks like a solid, above average DM. The sort of player clubs like Everton, West Ham or Spuds would take a punt on and see if he develops further.

Doesn’t really look to me like Chelsea first XI material.

Kounde for me is the most future center-back in world football. He is only 22 years old and has been playing in the elite since he was 17. He started as a right-back but went on to play as a center-ba

You don't watch him play...

Go watch in a match not youtube vids....

Tch is definitely not coming here to be a starter in first 2 seasons.

But we also need to think long term. I expect us to go for Bellingham in summer 2023.

We will see how Gilmour and Gallagher develop... Kante and Jorginho should be gone in 2 years. Kova also 29 in 2 years, could be sold.

I just feel like if we’re going to sign any midfielder it should be with an eye on instantly improving our first XI. Hence why the link to Rice makes sense. If we just want depth and someone with future potential to cover for Kante and Jorginho we may as well have kept Billy or keep Gallagher around.

And said it before Tchouameni and Kounde are best mates.

They also share the same agent, so if the club are interested in Tchouameni talks could already be ongoing between the club and the player's entourage.

After Gallagher's loan deal it's obvious the club need to dip into the market for a 4th midfielder and I wouldnt' say no to Tchouameni. I've made it clear Rice is my top option but like I wrote here a few days ago he's not the one I think the club should be after this summer. Rice would expect to be an immediate starter and would maybe disrupt Jorginho-Kante-Kovacic who have all played really well under Tuchel, but maybe Tchouameni wouldn't be too high profile to play a smaller role at first and then see how he gets on once he's fully settled. If Rice is serious about playing for Chelsea and wouldn't push for a move to Man Utd or wherever, he can then be bought in another 1-2 years when his price keeps going down (contract running shorter) and Jorginho-Kante are both getting older.

Tchouameni. They'd both operate at our sitter. Kovacic and Kante are the ball carriers.

No, Tchouameni is like Kante preferring to roam than sit unlike Kamara and Rice.

Similar to the MARCA report shared earlier and the fee that Sevilla supposedly want is closer to what I said the other day. lol

Well that's completely false. Tchouameni is the most traditional defensive midfielder on the planet. He sits and covers whilst Fofana is the ball carrier to the attack.

Zouma and 30-35m is not that far away. That is already enough. We will probably add some bonuses...

Gil was 25m plus Lamela plus 10m in bonuses.

Not true, Tchouameni is more like B2B than traditional DM like Rice and Kamara.

So Koundé isn’t actually as close as portrayed. Just hope he’s in before the season starts.

Kounde is a good buy at this time. He is young and is a good passer. We have not have a good ball CB since David Luiz.

If he can defend a bit better then David Luiz then worth it. If not sell him since he is young.

I remember Ashley Cole was small as well and that didn't stop us from winning things.

After Kounde I assume the CM will be a big player, like Rice. I wonder if SMS is still good?

Ashley Cole was a left back, NOT a CB
