Would be funny if we do not get Haaland and Hakimi lol. Tuchel probably furious then. He hates it when he does not get his wish transfers

You say funny, I say a nightmare. Don't need another 2017 again, that Summer was disastrous. I am personally amazed we have been able to recover from it so fast.

‘Total agreement’ reached, as Chelsea, Man Utd target Haaland makes his move

https://www.teamtalk.com/news/total-agreement-Chelsea-man-utd-haaland-transfer-real-madrid

Chelsea and Man Utd target Erling Haaland has edged closer to a blockbuster transfer after reaching a ‘total agreement’ with his proposed next club, per a report.

The Norwegian sensation, 20, is one of the most sought after footballers in the European game. Since moving to Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has operated at marginally below a goal every game. In the most recent season, he notched exactly 41 strikes from 41 outings. Unsurprisingly, the heavy hitters took note, but it now appears a Bundesliga exit could happen sooner than many believed.

From an English perspective, Chelsea and Man Utd appeared to be leading the way for his signature.

Man Utd’s immediate need diminished slightly when Edinson Cavani signed on for an additional year. But acquiring Haaland would represent a longer term option and will secure the No.9 spot for a decade wherever he goes.

Chelsea are on the hunt for a clinical centre forward to remedy their attacking issues. Thomas Tuchel has his Blues side purring. But Timo Werner failed to convince in his maiden year in England. That led to Kai Havertz often being deployed as a false nine.

However, according to noted Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla of SportItalia, both sides are set to miss out.

That’s because they report that Real Madrid have reached a ‘total agreement’ with the marksman over personal terms.

Haaland is on board with taking his next step in Spain, but the matter of convincing Dortmund to sell remains in play.

We HAVE to restart the new stadium.

Soon Barca and Real BOTH will have new, 1 billion euros a piece completed renovated/redone 'best football stadiums on the planet' homes, PSG is in the process of a half billion euro+ redo, and Manure and Liverpool will keep on renovating and expanding Old Shitford and Spamfield. Spuds have a state of the art giant new stadium, same for Juve and Atletico. Citeh have dumped over a billion into their combined physical plant, Arse will soon do a renovation, etc etc (even EVERTON soon has brand new stadium, ffs).

The only other clubs in terms of the giant old powers with a huge issue besides us (and they still dwarf us capacity-wise) are the 2 Milan sides, as COVID and financial issues are helping to collapse the new shared stadium for them atm.

IF we are trying to get 'best players on the planet at their positions' players, our stadium crushes us in both revenue and pulling power (it is tiny and run down, so so not remotely world class).

I cannot stress how important this already is, and it will only get worse as the years roll by.

2017 and 2018. A disastrous run of windows and poor decisions then and later on that will end up costing us half a billion+ in lost funds when the books are finally closed.

How would two pure #9’s in Benzema and Haaland coexist? Benzema just had a great season and even at close to 34 doesn’t look close to finished. Them signing Haaland doesn’t make much sense at this point.

only CF options for me IF we miss out on Håland AND IF we still buy one

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (price makes this unlikely)
Dusan Vlahovic  (probably the CF I would buy, as I doubt Sociedad comes down from Isak's RC)
Alexander Isak  (his release clause is too high though)
Youssef En-Nesyri
Jonathan David
Adam Hlozek (18yo youth player, MASSIVE upside)

OptaPaolo on Twitter: "3 - Prior to Dusan Vlahovic, the last player to score in three consecutive Serie A appearances with Fiorentina before turning 22 was Giampaolo Pazzini in April 2005. Uncontrollable. #Three reasons Dusan Vlahovic is an interesting Manchester United strike option - United In Focus

What a farce and blatant click bait article.

TOTAL AGREEMENT REACHED....yet if you actually read it it states "Real are stated to only be willing to bid slightly above €100m. Clearly, this saga could run and run."

Add the fact 99% of the population know Real are broke, this is some conjured up bollocks.

I will keep this simple

HELL NO TO GERARD MORENO

lol yeah he has been disappointing in the euros as well

he played a very decent season and scored quite a couple of good goals but he went missing in some big moments and might share some of the blame if Spain drop out. also has athletic deficiencies

that isn't how things work

and Benz IS ageing out, it will happen soon

IF Real can work out the fee, Håland will be gone to them

we are a small club compared to Real and Barca

all others are, even Manure, Juve, Pool, us, Citeh, PSG, AC MIlan, and even Bayern,

and those 2 new billion euro+ stadiums will smash that difference home every day after they open

I expect Barca to dip a bit when Messi retires/leaves, but they will recover

Real can lose any player, no matter who, and they are just always going to be the biggest club

is that fair? life isn't fair

Financial factor aside, Real Madrid are gonna have to rebuild that squad sooner or later. It's stale, some of the players are already old (including Benzema) and some are just average. Plus when you look at their struggles last season, it's no surprise they're looking at Haaland (or Mbappe or whoever else). Benzema was their top scorer with 30 goals and their next highest goalscorer is Asensio and Casemiro...on 7 goals.

How would Benzema and Haaland coexist? I wouldn't rule out someone like Ancelotti to make it work. This is the same manager that made Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema (remember the famous BBC?) work as a front three with someone like James supporting them from midfield. He always finds a way.

Pretty sure a new stadium isn't all it is cracked up to be. More of a vanity thing. I mean look at the stats:

Le Arse: top team, build stadium and become also rans as they were unable to keep pace in the market to finance their stadium.

Spuds: £1bn stadium with cheese room but now most indebted club in the world. Best player wants out and they're getting rejected by every half decent manager. Then when they find a manager decide not to pony up.

Real: going broke

Barca: can only sign free players. I mean, feck me, they wouldn't even pony up £3m for Garcia in Jan in the mists of a CB crisis.

Only team that has really worked for is Juve, but theirs wasn't even that expensive and is barely larger than SB.

For me, priorities for players are as follows:

1) Project

2) Money (sometimes in reverse with 1)

3) Lifestyle of city/country (sometimes higher, depending on player)

4) Training facilities

5) Friends in the squad

For me the stadium comes under those somewhere, I would argue ownership is 6.

What needs to be remembered is the players spend most of their time at training of travelling. That is more important to them than how fancy the stadium they play in as a pitch is a pitch and they're not sitting in the stands unless they stink the place up. I mean in all seriousness the only real benefit to them would be to be able to play on a bigger pitch as the SB one is on the small side which makes low blocks harder to deal with.
