Danger with leaving a move for Giroud so late of course is that we're leaving it in a direct rivals' hands not to fuck us over. They can string us along until the deadline saying they'll agree to sell him to us and then pull the plug at the last second.

For that reason, I hope we're also keyed in with Dortmund. They don't sell Auba until they get Batshuayi and Arsenal don't get Auba until we get Giroud.

I think Giroud will come down to the player wanting the move rather than Arsenal.  If he wants to go that bad Wenger will allow it IMO.

Never thought I would read or hear the day we are happy to accept so many middle of the road players lining up for CFC.

Of course it can't all be elite players but they way we scratch the base of the barrel every single window is quite frankly laughable. And people wonder why the gap to us and City is so huge and the rest of the European elite.

Giroud can actually be helpful for Chelsea, he is always a danger for the opposition, really dangerous in the air and have a decent left peg. Unfortunately his biggest minus is that he is injury prone and is often out, we could've just kept Remy instead. And also, I believe he wants to move away from Arsenal in order to play regularly, something that I'm not sure will be granted in Chelsea. So, Deeney, welcome to Chelsea
