Tiemoue Bakayoko

Meh. Dont see much improvement on Matic here. Maybe a little bit more mobile, but we would have needed someone who can create and buid-up the play. Tolisso would have been much better, as he is technically superior. Hopefully we'll sign another CM. Kante is enough to cover up, we need more attacking power. Especially with Hazard missing the start of the season. Tolisso would be an awesome addition.

Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko after agreeing a €40 million (£35m) deal with Monaco, according to reports in France.

L’Equipe claim that Chelsea’s board have convinced the Ligue 1 champions with their offer and are hopeful that their first summer transfer can be officially announced next week

I think Kante-Fabregas-Bakayoko would form a very good midfield three, good mix between physical power, stamina and creativity. Bakayoko and Kante might also work, but then we need to add more creativity elsewhere (Sandro,Conti,Alexis etc)

Signing him is another indication that Conte wants to play 3-5-2. There's no way he could function properly in a two man midfield next to Kante.

Everybody seems to have this opinion. Curious which of matic' traits you guys feel we'd be missing in that scenario? I feel after we played nearly the whole season with matic-kanté, that antonio would definitely see bakayoko-kanté as an option ?

Know very little of him bar the very few games I've seen him play. Thought this was a good assessment of him and how he's have been good for utd. Should be a good addition to Antonio's champions
