If we play 3 at the back Baba would do lwb(better going forwrd),Hector of Germany looked decent imho, deffo need a world class Cb(I wanted Christensein this season grrr also)more speed in the team would be nice.Greizmann would have been good fit(horse bolted)Bazoer of Ajax has been mentioned as another Cm. Yeah should get some €£ on some loanee deadwood.

I know I'm a greedy sod but Id be hapy with 3. A CB a LWB and a proper number 10. Just ayou say Isco or James would be great.

It not like we dont have some deadwood to get d off to make some money up

Our current midfielder if/when Kante is official :

Matić (Van Ginkel - Chalobah) - Fabregas (Oscar - Pašalić) - Kante (Chalobah - Mikel)

I hope we sell Mikel and Oscar & Van Ginkel step up in their game. The latest really had a good season in Stoke and especially in PSV, too bad he had those injuries :( There is also Colkett but I hope that he gets a good loan season in Championship :)

Are Colkett and Pašalić training with first team?

Good signing. Energy, athleticism (speed!) and defensively solidity were all sorely lacking in midfield and Kante provides those qualities.

Question remains whether he'll still be such a defensive force in midfield in a far more dominant team and having to deal with less support. I think he'll do just fine but at worst he's a very solid defensive midfielder.

Michy and Kante are good signings but far from enough. A centreback, a fullback and a centre midfielder are still highly necessary imo.

Made up a 5 man list a while back and Chelsea actually signed two out of five. Koulibaly, R. Rodriguez, Kante, Nainggolan, Batshuayi.

Read Rodriguez is available for 25 mil. He's easily worth whatever gamble is involved for that price. Worst case scenario is he flops and you sell him for the same price or for a bit less because of his age and experience in the Bundesliga and for Switzerland. And if not Radja, try Matuidi. If that doesn't work as well, give that Joao Mario guy a try I guess. I'd prefer Lyon's Tolisso, absolute gem.

yes. I'm glad to use some young CMs along the way, but this side needs more immediate quality in centre midfield STILL after this Kante signing. +1 the FB/WB and CB

I think Allan of Napoli could be another very good option.

This could turn out to be the best signing in the PL this season. Let's hope so.

Well he turned out to be the very best signing of the PL last year. Hopefully he can do it this year too.

I know it's small sample size, but if the Romania and Albania games in the Euros are anything to go by, signs are good.

Is it confirmed? Great signing if true, reminds me of a young Makelele, just what we need in midfield, a midfield trio of Kante - Matic - Fabregas looks great to me, depending on what system Conte employs. Hope the board gets the rest of the deals done fast, so the players can prepare properly for the new season, i think the future looks bright and i feel rather optimistic ahead of the new season, i have a great feeling it´s going to be an epic one, but i really hope we can start off on the right foot and kick on from there, it´s about time we challenge for the title again and put last season´s nightmare to bed. Cheers mates and here´s to a great season, can´t wait ;)
