I've been saying Hughes since for the last three or four years. Need to overlook his days at the basket case that is QPR because they are just a load of fucked up bollocks. Unlucky to get binned from Citeh and doing a blinding job at Stoke. He wouldn't allow players to take the piss and he is Chelsea through and through. He deserves the chance.

And Pardew, why not? Maybe it's time to look left field.

Yup Pardew old Shed boy. With either though, Sparky the most, how long do you think they'd put up with the interference of the Sibneft crew of Buck, Maria, and Tenenbaum let alone Mr 419 Emanalo ?

hi from a Napoli supporter   i'm very sad for the loosing of Sarri, he is a real football Maestro, I saw the best Napoli in 90 years of history of the club, better than Maradona's Napoli, with a decen

I already mention this in another thread .

No top manager will happy to be a Chelsea manager if this Emanelo still in-charge about transfer

When you can't create your own men how the hell those men that you didn't pick will fit in your tactics?

It's Emanelo choose let him be our manager he know how to use them !!! l

How the fuck is Emanelo allowed to be in charge about transfers??? what has he done previously to deserve such a position?? Fuck all, in the grand scale of things, thats what. It stinks of the Aston Villa transfer committee. The manager surely has the right to chose who to sign. Not some sigh like Emanelo.

I don't think he will be offered it, but if he was made Chelsea manager then my personal boycott (a la Grant, Fat Controller) would recommence. Ridiculous idea

Not long. Which is why the club's infrastructure has to change. May sound old fashioned but, in my opinion, the manager should be the recruiter, as long as it falls within the confines of the laid down budget. Fuck all this Director of Football bollocks. And Emanelo just gives me the hump. In my mind, he is in the same pile as Avram.

If you must have a Director of Football then surely someone who knows the score, knows the system. Older managers who don't want the day to day responsibility, Fergie, Redknapp, Walter Smith. That way they still keep their hand in. Can only imagine the response if Gill had tried to force the likes of Avram or Emanelo on Fergie, ffs.

Got a mate who supports Fulham reckons Hughes acted all Billy Big Bollocks as soon as he walked through the door. Made a load of diva like demands including that his office wasn't big enough. Whatever you think of Roy Hodgson getting Fulham to the Europa League final was a remarkable achievement and he left them in a pretty healthy state. Love Hughesy as a player and he's a boyhood Chelsea fan but to be honest I don't think he's quite up to managing an elite club.

Exactly -I am chuckling at the thought of Clough or Fergie or even Wenger having been dealt Emanalo :D Arnesen on the other hand was a bloke who knew what he was doing.

I think Moyes and to a lesser extent Rodgers ruined the chances of British managers at the top for the next few years. They were already viewed as incompetent before, for top level football. European and international experience and succes is deemed crucial. PL football is quite different compared to European football.

Old Sparkie has transformed Stoke, yeah. Good job. Clever scouting as well. But British managers would do well to coach outside Britain as well.

The more you think it about it F.B. the weirder it becomes. Getting Arnesen and Kenyon who were the top people in their field at the time with impeccable credentials to getting some non entity who played half a dozen times for Notts County and coached a woman's team in the States. There's hope for Trevor Aylott yet mate ha ha

Nothing will be the same without Drog and Lamps.

It's like a circus now...

You are not doing your work, reporter!

We get Rodgers I'm afraid the little hope of moving forward as a club will vanish. Unbelievable where this club as turned into and the blame is at several people who should've be shown the fucking door a while ago.

Rodgers is attacking and plays youth players.

He's a shit coach but I'm just getting you prepared for the inevitable defence of his hiring.

Aye. exactly, no issues with Arneson whatsoever. Top rep, well respected, compare that with Emanalo, I mean, ffs. It's like Villa and this 'transfer committee', I mean wtf?

It does make you giggle though, the thought of Emanelo dealing with Clough or Fergie. Fergie, after all, don't need no Director of Football to make shite signings, he can do that all by himself, I give you Kleberson and raise you Djemba Djemba

We've been linked with both Sampaoli and Simeone, but what strikes me as odd is they both have completely different footballing philosophies. Simeone is a 'win-at-all-cost' manger while Sampoali is an idealist, he wants his teams to play attacking football and to entertain the fans. In short, one is a Bilardismo (Simeone) "I learned competitive know-how from him (Bilardo) he is one of the managers who left his mark on me the most."

and the other is a Menottismo (Sampaoli)," I believe that the only way to succeed is by uniting players with a love of playing. You try to inspire in them a love of the shirt derived of enjoyment, not obligation. When you succeed in this individualistic society, it is by committing to something intangible, with humility. That allows everybody to come together; the social or cultural background of the people involved doesn’t matter."... How does Roman want Chelsea to play? if reports are to be believed he wants us to play attacking football while integrating youth, then it seems rather obvious to look for a manager that fits that profile, instead i bet we'll just hire any 'big name' manager who has a good CV completely disregarding whether they fit our needs.

I like this post on WAGNH about Lucien Favre --a manager whose Gladbach side were fun to watch. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/12/28/10670434/barcelondon-lucien-favre

Well this is what I think we need right now.

AVB would have been perfect but he came in too early.

At that time we should have had kept Carlo.

But that's gone, now I think this is the perfect time to try it again. Someone young with a vibrancy.

Don't want these past it guys like Mourinho, Guss, Carlo and all those.

Let's take a gamble with someone young like Barcelona did at the time with Pep and A. Madrid did with Simeone.
