That goal against Arsenal will go down in Chelsea's history as one of the best in terms of importance and quality. The goal against Barca would be the same too if we'd held on.

Great player but not any time recently so a good deal to move him on now

All the best for the Bison at Milan, a top human being and in his prime a world class player. Shame his career took a massive hit with the knee injuries but I hope he can get back to playing regular first team football in Italy.

That goal against Barcelona was supposed to be played in every museum, hailed as one of the greatest strikes ever. Instead, that bastard Tom Ovrebo stole all the show.

Ess has been an incredible worker and player, always smiling. Moreover, how he works for his charity has been amazing. Top lad.

Not sure. None is most likely.

Yep, even seen some news suggesting we'll have to pay some of his wages for the remainder of his contract at Chelsea because Milan won't pay him as much as he's currently getting. Still, better for everyone if he goes. Essien will get more first team opportunities at Milan and we will get at least most of his wages off the books and can give someone like Aké the opportunity to play the games Essien would otherwise play.

Yeah that's what I've read as well although that was in the Metro, not what is being reported in Italy.

Who remembers how beastly he was in the 09-10 season before the injury? I honestly believe we would have won the CL that season if he stayed fit.

Only Xavi and Iniesta were better CM's for me at the time. He was like Vidal on drugs.

There was also the epic defensive performance on Gerrard in the CL at those cunts place. Gerrard and Torres were both on fire at the time, he ate Gerrard up and in succession shut down the entire Liverpool team.

Should have gone down as one of the greatest midfielders ever. Period. Now he's just another "what if" story. Sad to see.
