Sky Sources: Thibaut Courtois to start in goal for #CFC ahead of Petr Cech against Burnley tonight. #SSNHQ

So its Thibaut to start...hopefully he'll be able to handle the pressure

He has played in a champions league final. I'm sure he can manage a season opener vs burnley.

Yes, but how will he do on a cold, rainy night in Stoke?

Am I the only person chuffed that someone like Bojan is playing in Stoke. He's not a perfect analog for Messi but he's pretty close, so we might finally get an answer to that much asked question.

Also on a fairly clear if brisk afternoon in Stoke, Cech made a howler so it's not the be all and end all.

Yeah. Tbh unless they go to a direct rival I like to see good players going into the prem. Just strengthens the league further and improves the competition.

It's better and more entertaining when you have to work for every point rather than having a load of "freebie games."

I'm actually much more interested on who will start RB. Considering that last season Jose always preferred Ivanovic at RB when he is much better at CB and now that Filipe Luis will be on the lift, will hestick with him or put Cesar in his natural position. Also will it be like last season where he always had one that stayed more deeper then the other?

Burnley will throw the kitchen sink at us in the first 20 minutes. All we have to do is soak it up and hit them on the counter and this should be relatively straightforward. It won't be a 3-0 or 4-0 win though, sorry to disappoint you guys. Promoted teams have nothing to lose by going for it, and I wouldn't be surprised if they stuck one past young Thibaut. 2-1 win for the Chels and I'll be happy.
