This situation is getting stupidly messy. Assuming what Costa said is true, it seems silly that Conte has cut ties when our striking situation is still yet to be resolved. Are we really going into the ssn with just Lukaku and god knows who else? Gonna be awkward if we can't sell Costa and he has to be integrated back into the team.

He's being asked if Conte gave him any sort of explanation. Apparently it was for his bad end of the season.

He says, he's a chelsea player for his contract, but he has to leave. 

Says it was a simple message, and that now he has to search for a new team.

Gets asked if any other Chelsea players have talked to him after that. Says that if you're not wanted in a team, the only option you have is to leave.

Funny how even if they have a transfer ban, the reporters keep asking him if Atletico is the way to go

I would not be keen to sell him to Atleti. Over the course of the season, a number of people, myself included, have worried that Diego's poor form seemed almost deliberate. At times, the chronic indecision and the appalling passing seemed just too bad to be true.  The suspicion that he might have been manipulating his exit on terms favourable to Atletico won't go away. This suspicion must surely be complete nonsense but it's there all the same.

I'll be sad to see him go for the great moments he brought us but won't shed a tear like I would if say, Hazard left. His antics both on the pitch and off were disgraceful at times. Won't miss him completely losing his head frequently during matches or angling a transfer away time and time again.

Sometimes the positives can't outweigh the negatives. Replacing him with someone who can have the same goal production without all the baggage is best for the club. But we surely need more than one new forward. We can't enter a season back in the CL and with everyone around us getting far stronger with just Lukaku & Batshuayi. Would be suicide.

The suspicion was correct. Costa was intentionally playing rubbish for us from January. Any Chelsea fan who thinks otherwise must have no eyes for perception. 

Just watch our matches for the season again, compare costa from August till December and then from the China news till the end. No player can look world-class performing better than even hazard for months, then suddenly look like a pub player who can't pass, holdup play or shoot for months and months.
