That's really stupid as the players should be focused on finishing the season on high note and only on that, defenitely not on transfers to other clubs.
But I can believe it, because you can see that Costa is not fully concentrated on the pitch and his play since January, when the 1st rumours appeared. But Im sure he even run for a pen when he heard how much money they offer him. :D

What I have to say, he prefers to play in China for the money, than in one of the best leagues in Europe and to fight for CL trophy. So we are basically losing nothing, I prefer our team to have as less as possible players with this this kind of mentality.

About replacement, It really depends if Conte wants to play with 1 or 2 strikers, but I won't mind to have Morata,Sanchez and Llorente as strikers next season. I personally don't believe Lukaku deserves the price that the media gives him and I'm not so sure I'd prefer him over some other striker names that are on the list of possible additions.

I can just wish him to learn the Chinese language a bit more than English :D

Morata has 13 goals and 4 assists in 1166 minutes. That's 1 goal every 89,7 minutes.

In comparison to Costa who has 19 goals and 6 assists in 2848 minutes.

Morata for me is enough of a goal threat and i do think he'd be capable of getting around 20 goals (In the PL).

The problem with this analysis is that a few things needs to be considered. The majority of those minutes comes from Real easiest games when Benz is rested or games is in control where the opposition is most vulnerable to a beat down. Those numbers are skewed quite a bit. You also have Luxury of more goal scoring opportunities at Real Madrid

His goal records at Juventus should also be looked at it, gives more complete picture.

I do like Morata and at a reasonable price i  would welcome him, but I have doubt if he can carry the goal scoring load. He does a lot of good things on the pitch so I understand why Conte likes him.

Conte asked about Costa pre-contract from China :

"I don't know about this. Important for every person to be focused on the present, which is more important now than the future, concentrate, prepare for 5 games. I am not worried about this as I am seeing right concentration and focus from players. I haven't talked to Diego about future, it is not the time."

Another question : "Do you expect him to stay?"

Conte : "I can only repeat what I have already said."

He is gone then.

Costa is being treated unfairly- he's done his time and worked hard - if he's being offered life changing (for generations of Costa's) money, then he should be free to chose it without petty name calling from fans that would jump at the chance if they were in his shoes.

The selfish thing for Costa to do is what he wants to do, the right thing for him and his family is to pickup the moolah

Give the dude a break...

I just expect from our players to act like professionals and respect the club and the fans, stay focused on the aim for the season untill the goal is reached and after that to discuss future moves out of the club.

Was he waving for goodbye to our fans, or to spurs hopes? :D

He didn't choose for this to happen - it's football and the emergence of chequebook countries

All players get rattled when transfer talks are on going - it's human nature - why should Diego be any different?

The fact is, he's dusted himself down and is doing well again - a hat trick in the Cup Final would be nice.

Definitely !

With the China thing, some of their clubs are subsidised by national govt, as they know what a lucrative business it can be,  thereby giving them blank cheques. Chinese officials would have approached Jorge Mendes with a ridiculous deal, and all Mendes can see is $£$£$ signs floating above him as his head hits the pillow

But why do they target Costa?

Why not Suarez, Benzeme, Greizman, Sanchez......and many others, maybe they did/have, but we've just not heard about it.

Or could it be that the unscrupolis Mendes had contacted the Chinese in the first place 'cos Costa told him he wants out.

Or it could all be bollocks 'cos if as indicated by Costa yesterday there's no pre contract agreement

Indeed - there's a ton of media bullshit too

Any team poised to be Champions is hit with a ton of stories about players being targeted or wanting to leave.

Look at Leicester last season - Vardy and Mahrez - Kante was the only one to leave and that was in the summer!

They do it to destabilise the club and detract from the glory - typically it's bitter twisted rival supporters in media jobs.

Dont give them the satisfaction! Let's celebrate 🎉
