Honestly, you guys are still suprised by this? Every interview, every times he opens his mouth he: was going to make a fuss last summer, is not happy at london, will move away ASAP. He didn't even try to be subtle.

I hope we milk those chineses dry and replace him with belotti, morata

Why are some slamming Morata though? He's a ridiculously talented striker, more talented than Costa for sure. Just because he doesn't get a game in Madrid doesn't mean shit. He's a better player than Benzema 100% but we know the politics in Madrid means Benzema starts.

I don't think so. Morata cannot lead the line anywhere near as well as Benzema does. If Benzema was available this summer I would look at him - the link up play between him and Eden would be something else.

You're confusing Benzema of 3 or 4 years ago with Benzema today. I can't even call what he does for Madrid "leading the line". He's just a foil for Ronaldo. He's not very good right now. Just because he's technically gifted doesn't mean much. I think you're seriously overrating him.

So you take Benzema,  a striker who rarely scores anymore, makes boneheaded decisions and way past it over Morata to lead the line for us? Wow.

I had the same question. It sounds like Morata has all of a sudden become a pub player. I remember when he was leaving Juventus and Real bought him back for peanuts, a lot of people were disappointed that Real decided to activate the buy-back clause and we didn't get him. Put Morata in a team where he plays every game and he will deliver.

I think some are commenting based of reputation and past accomplishments than the actual reality now. No way is Benzema better for us than Morata right now. Benzema is like the worst player in Madrid's starting XI when Bale isn't playing.

I can't agree. It would be hypocritical because Chelsea do it all the time.

When during a pinnacle part of the season have you  heard of CFC doing a pre -contract signing?

You are forgetting that only reason Benzema works in RM is because Cr scores so many goals. Benzema doesnt need to score them all. Here, Benzema would be our main goal threat because we dont have any other natural scorer.

We need efficient, technical striker and neither Benzema, Aubameyang or Lukaku fit that. Maybe Belotti or Lacazette, but those two arent proven yet.

Morata is brilliant ballplaying striker. His skill is miles ahead of Lukaku. He doesnt score that much, but then again he doesnt play that much and when he does he is usualy SS.

IMO Morata is perfect if you play two striker system. But maybe Conte can make him work as lone striker too. Definately has more in his locker than any other striker we were linked with, but he doesnt score as many goals indeed.

So we throw Diego under the bus because he was on a drought, but want to buy a striker that "doesn't score much."

I like Morata but you need more upfront in terms of goal threat. Play him alongside another Striker or someone like Sanchez who would share that role and interchange out wide.

Morata has 13 goals and 4 assists in 1166 minutes. That's 1 goal every 89,7 minutes.

In comparison to Costa who has 19 goals and 6 assists in 2848 minutes.

Morata for me is enough of a goal threat and i do think he'd be capable of getting around 20 goals (In the PL).

About the lone striker thing. If Sanchez can be succesfull as a lone striker then i don't see why Morata can't.

Also i'd argue that our system offers more support to our striker then other systems do because of how centrally and closer Hazard and Pedro play to our striker.

I genuinely think that Benzema needs a fresh start, and a new environment. He's not having a great season so it's easy to bash him, but the talent is clearly still there. He still has Lyon Benzema in him - like you said, he's a foil for CR7 so he isn't used to his maximum abilities. There's a genuine reason why Morata hasn't taken over his spot at CF. I mean, he offers some of Benzema's technical quality but he hasn't shown that he's capable of leading the line like Benzema does. Even at Juventus he was never a starter - he can't be a focal point in a line up. Even Mandzukic was preferred to him as the main CF.

I understand why people don't rate Benzema as much as I do though, but it's a matter of opinion. To me, he's just in an unfavourable situation.

I never threw Diego under the bus because of the drought, Im one of few who would stick with him, neither did I say Morata is best option to go in summer.

His skill is great, but to me priority for our striker is to score goals against any opponent. Thats why I have no complain regarding Costa even if he is poor on the ball, as long he scores those goals. I explained why Benzema wouldnt be good option here too.

Bottom line, I said Morata is best in two man system. Next to someone who is established scorer, unless Conte can make Morata better.
