Kurt Zouma

The best way to develop youngsters is to challenge them, let him play CB against Shrewsbury & Maribor while he can be RB against QPR. If he does well in those games than he is ready to start against mid-table teams more often.

Ivanovic will serve his suspension tomorrow so he'll be back for QPR and there's no chance Zouma will play RB for that one.

Other than that I agree, playing well against Shrewsbury and Maribor would go a long way in convincing Mourinho he can do the job when called upon and that there's no need to move Ivanovic to CB if Terry or Cahill get injured.

I think that blaming Kurt because of our points losing against United isnt fair. He came in for last few minutes, he dont feel the match yet and its probably the main reason of this mistake. He get better with every match we will have a lot of good things with him in future.

Thought he was immense against Maribor. Obviously he wasn't flawless, but to play 90 minutes in such a pressure game in the CL after going down and having to chase the game showed real character, especially having to change in mid game from 4 to 3 at the back. I'm fairly more confident about him making it here after that match.

Now, if he could only learn to time his jump for headers, he'd practically score from every set piece! There was one instance where he completely mistimed his jump by like a whole second but still managed to win the header because he out-jumped the Maribor player by like a full meter!

I liked his game. His technique with the ball is far from perfect but he will improve a lot and really fast. The most difficult he has... at the age of 20 he has the perfect physical attributes and seems good defensively.

With more games, experience and confidence he will improve in the other areas. Maybe it would be good for him to play some games as RB to improve that aspects.

He will start at least 15 games in the season if everything goes normally, and that's amazing for him.

Why does he have to curl up his arms and arch his back like gollum and then use his foot like a putter to play the simplest 10 yard pass?

I haven't noticed it but sounds goofy, worth checking out. As long as the ball gets to where it's intended, he could do a triple somersault into a front flip every time I don't particularly mind.
