Ryan Bertrand

Had a handful in Victor Moses, but dealt good with him i think, given that he pretty much was thrown in the deep end against such a physical force.

His crosses and runs on the sideline were promissing. Like him alot as a player, clearly he went to the Ashley Cole School for Advanced Left Back Studies.

Hope he gets a game against Barca, then we shall truly see if he is capable of replacing Ashley against high opposition..

Not sure about that. Playing him against Spurs and/or Arsenal would be a big test now as it is.

He has been 'ready' ever since his stint at Reading, why we loaned him out to Forest the following year while keeping PVA ill never know.

I also remember watching late kick off a couple of years ago (while he was at Reading) and Steve Claridge was asked if he (Ryan) would make it at Chelsea, he responded with a straight no

Just like Cahill against Barca and now today, Bertrand will grow so much keeping a clean sheet and playing so well against such opposition. His Chelsea future is secure now i hope and he's proved he is good enough to deputise for Ash.
