Unsung hero. Compare the love guys like Azpi get for more or less the very same effort, work-rate and desire to play their part.

This guy deserves his medal as much as anyone in the team.

Disagree. He has his critics no doubt but he's a very appreciated player especially by match-going fans.

He was surprisingly very good in the first half. Disappeared in the 2nd.

His song is very catchy; don't confuse that that for any special admiration. Willian is an afterthought for most Chelsea fans.

Was great in the first half when playing LW/CAM. Dissapeared in the 2nd mainly because he burned a lot of stamina, and played on the right wing. I think he has the potential, but he has to make that CAM spot his own and switch with Hazard. He is great when the ball is played in his path and he has to run for it and cross or pass, but he can take players on, by cutting inside.

I'd be really pissed at Ramires if I gave him such a nice pass. ?

Just rewatched the Arsenal game in a calmer state... Willian would've been MotM IMO had Ramires converted the chance Willian carved out for him.

Solid solid first half.

Defensively, he was everywhere.

I also liked that he ran into spaces vacated by Bellerin when the defender was pressing Hazard too high.

I wouldn't say he's under appreciated, I think everyone recognizes his workrate. I think we are just frustrated because he is definitely capable of more.

For the role he plays I don't think he could do much more to be honest.

The geezer works his socks off!

There were plenty of situations where he could have played a defence splitting pass or be more ambitious and take a shot(he has a great one). But he's been doing much better lately on the offensive end so fair play to him.

Also I love the sight of his bouncy hair when he is running hard.

Ok the bouncy hair bit was just gay brah! Haha only joking!

Yea his vision and end product were frustrating for most parts of the season but he has put soo many hard working shifts in, it's hard to be critical!

It's strange, though. Once he moves into the 10 role, suddenly he starts having a go. Everton to think of one. IMO I think Oscar will stay on the bench Mou won't risk him for 90.

Imo he should always play in the number 10 in big games, he has that combination of atlethicism and technical ability that is hard to find and so far he has always looked great when he played in that position in tough games.

And if Mou wants some more defensive stability by moving Cesc out of the pivot, I rather see him benched in favor of Willian retaining his place in the 10. Don't think Cesc should be guaranteed a starting place per se.

Last season we were better in big games for a reason because we had a good balance between attack/defence that we somewhat lost this season. I would like to see us return to that some more, preferably with a replacement for Ramires on the right though

Think along with Hazard hes been our best player since the second half of the season. Everyone thought Cuadrado would bench him and hes done anything but that, hes stepped up his game and although hes not getting assists he seems to be looking that bit more dangerous. Perhaps he doesn't have as many assists because the players hes passing to aren't finishing well too like Ramires v Arsenal.
