Beigl 1,372
Guys want to buy a new Chelsea home shirt. And my options are from 2012 season and onward. Anyone help me which out of all those years you think was great? In my opinion 13/14 and 15/16 were both great shirts.
MefiX19 1,092
I actually really like 14/15 ones. Those horizontal lines on home kit looked really cool and both away and 3rd were amazing

Anyone help me which out of all those years you think was great? 2012/13: I liked it when it first came out, but I got tired of the gold trim. I liked that the badge was pressed-on plastic instead of the sewn-on ones usually on replicas. 2013/14: a very classy kit. Probably the most "classic" looking one of the bunch. 2014/15: I hated the front design when it first was released but grew to like it over the season. It's now one of my favorite of the bunch. 2015/16: My favorite Chelsea shirt of all time, but there's bad memories attached to it. 2016/17: My least favorite Chelsea home shirt from Adidas. On the pitch, it looks good, but that lion print makes it so I'll never get one to wear. 2017/18: It'll be the first Nike shirt, and based on what people think it'll look like and me being a Nike fan over Adidas, I'm excited for it.
Fernando 6,135
Thanks people for the input. I'm going to go with 2014/2015. I liked Samsung better then Yokohama Tires, even though as some of you mention that 2015/2016 kit is great. And yes the 2013/2014 looks classic, but I agreed with Mefix on the 14/15 so I'm going to buy that one. Thanks for the input people.

If I like your choice I might buy that. 13/14 season, and I actually like the current one. 13/14 is my favorite, but I would buy the current one, since its a winner kit. Already a classic in my books.

Strange, since 14/15 season for me is easily the 2nd worst Adidas home kit, its just not worse than the 09/10 robocop kit.
kmk108 1,186
Stoke now have a sleeve sponsor. The new PL rules state a club can have a sleeve sponsor on the left sleeve and the league badge will just be on the right arm. I wonder if the clubs without a sponsor will still have badges on both sleeves.

But I don't think they'd put both the PL badge and the sponsorship logo on the sleeve. It'd just be the sponsorship.
nyikolajevics 2,142
I don't like this sleeve-sponsor thing at all. Next season it's back-sponson, then kidney-sponsor and in a few years PL-teams will look like Formula One cars in the early 2000s

The sleeve sponsorship will only be present on the left sleeve with just the one Premier League patch on the right sleeve. So it shouldn't look too cluttered.
RoyalBlues 4,050
I don't see any problem with that, anything for an additional sponsor money are welcome.

I still have the away shirt from 1977 which I will upload soon (it's red by the way !!). My brother bought this for my 15th birthday.

itsbeauj 4
As many people have mentioned, if it brings in more money, all for it. As long as the tops don't start looking like billboards. PS. That Carabao logo is SO putrid.
kmk108 1,186
Hopefully this won't be the way English clubs look in 20 years

Yeah, but it's additional money for our rivals too, so not a big deal. It's like you claimed you have 50 friends. If you have 50 friends then no one is your friend. 4 hours ago, kmk108 said: Hopefully this won't be the way English clubs look in 20 years During the communism, Hungarian clubs were not allowed to have sponsors. After the revolution in 1989 we started to discover capitalism and our clubs' kits looked like this: Even rookie Easter-European businessmen realised soon that this is not the way. Being the only sponsor for big money is better than advertising your shit in players' thigh or ass. I thought we were stupid but learned this, and now England and the Premier League are stepping to that path? Please no..
