Fernando Torres

Was he ever considered the top striker in the world?

Well, in 2008 he placed third in the Ballon d'Or voting behind Ronaldo and Messi so I'd say yes. Of course scoring the winning goal in Euro2008 final affected that but at the time he was an amazing player for both Liverpool and Spain so it was more than reasonable that he was nominated for the award.

As it stands we have our hopes pinned on a lack luster Torres, a raw Lukaku and a very average Denmba Ba....Am I worried? Yes I am.

It's OK saying our midfield will score goals, but what if they don't?

Then we struggle to finish 3rd/4th again.

All hypothetical.

Here's one. What if Mourinho instills confidence and a winning mentality into our players, (something he is brilliantly known for) and establishes a strong core ( just as Jose prevoously has) and stabilized squad containing a hungry young striker, an apparent 'average' striker that scored against the likes of United and City in terrific fashion, and a fading Spanish striker who struggles with inconsistency yet shows glimpses of his former self? All in the same time being supported by the most threatening attacking trio in the league, the greatest midfielder goalscorer of all time, and leadership and character that is our back 4?

If they struggle, we support, if they win, we support. Can't Handel that, go support PSG or City

Once again, you are trolling here. Even if Chelsea have 3 Joses, they could not restore any skills into Torres.
