Charly Musonda Jr.

Ligue 1 is 3 classes above the Dutch League. And Monaco was quarter finalist in the CL and didn't deserve to be eliminated by Juventus. Very very very big difference in level.

Which is exactly why he won't start there....be realistic

I'm not disputing that point at all. I highly doubt Monaco will make the quarter final again too. My point is that the level at PSV is a lot higher than the rest of the division - if Charly goes there and is a starter, and has a season like Memphis did then that would be great for his development.

PSV a lot higher in level than Ajax? C'mon Skip. Ajax have more quality in their side, PSV just had the better season. And without Memphis, they aren't coming 1st next season. And as for Musonda, I don't see him starting in either Ajax or PSV's first XI. No chance. He'll be better suited to a lesser team in that league. Monaco is out of the question.

PSV won the league by 17 points, there was a clear difference of quality between both teams this season (and I'm saying this as an Ajax fan). Not even debatable. Their team was massively better and had a lot more talents in there than Ajax did.

Of course now that it looks like they're losing two of their best players (Memphis already gone and Wijnaldum on the way out) they're a bit weaker, but last season they were by far the best team in the Eredivisie. Ajax weren't close.

Even without Memphis PSV have the better team by quite a bit as it stands (this is without them re-spending the Memphis money).

You want to loan youth player without senior experience to Monaco, quaterfinalist of CL?

He needs playing time and he won't get it in Monaco or PSV. They have a lot of their own players and even if their own young players are less talented than Musonda, they will still play them over him. Loan him to Vitesse or something like this where he can be starter for whole season. He is 18, he won't ruin his career if he doesn't play in top league next season but he can surely slow down his development if he doesn't play regular football.

Monaco was quarterfinalist with a bunch of young, unexperienced kids like him: Martial, Ferreira-Carrasco, Bernardo Silva, Fabinho

Seems like you all underestimate Musonda's quality. I have no doubt he'd be in the squad of PSV. And talking about Monaco, players like Fereira Carrasco don't come anywhere near him.

I think he should go to psv. The Dutch league is known for attacking football and playing CL would do him good.

Quite the opposite. It seems you overrate the 18 year old player that's never played a competitive game...

Not to mention your ignorance that top clubs would see past this obvious flaw and put him straight in to their team and rely on him as a first team player. It's never going to happen. Love from Wallace.

When Musonda played with the big boys vs Thailand I think he was one of the best players on the pitch. He was creative, good and comfortable on the ball and did his defensive duties as well, but most importantly he really demanded the ball and was given it by the other players. In this aspect, Boga and Loftus-Cheek impressed me much less. Where those two were clearly juniors playing in a big team for the first (or almost first) time, it looked to me as if Musonda already belonged there.

I think that's something you don't regularly see, and it convinces me that Musonda would be able to get a spot as a starter at e.g. PSV.

It's just my opinion though, I could be wrong. :)

I've seen them both play a lot in the belgian youth squads. Musonda is much better than YFC. In almost every aspect of the game. Different types of players offcourse, but still. Vision, passing, technical ability, ... name it.

If they actually want to hire Musonda, it's probably because they believe he could be an acquisition for the team. It's not a real argument to say he's never played a competitive game. He played alongside players like Tielemans and Malanda (RIP) and outshone them with ease.

If you are not trolling, then you have made the most ridiculous post ever. YFC carried Monaco this year, they can't miss him in their team. Arsenal, Juventus and AS Roma are chasing him. He is a fantastic player. And you say a youth player outclasses him in every aspect of the game? Clearly you don't know the players of your own country. YFC should always be a starter for Belgium since this season.

Hazard-Benteke-YFC

--------De Bruyne------

Absolutely brilliant

I'm not very impressed by YFC. Mirallas 2.0. Zero understanding of the game.

And yes, I say this youth player outclasses him in (almost) every aspect of the game. Musonda is without any doubt the biggest belgian talent we've got (since some dude called Eden).

Don't think YFC is Mirallas 2.0 (he's still young and already shows great promise, already has a better understanding of the game then Mirallas IMO).

I do agree that Musonda is in another league then Ferreira-Carrasco, and he's quite probably the greatest talent I have ever seen (in his time with Anderlecht).

Anyone who thinks he can not get a starting spot in a team with - with all due respect - very mediocre players like Jetro Willems, Wijnaldum and Narsingh, is wrong I believe.

Regarding his options, since there is so much interest for him im positive he can work out a deal at some of those clubs for a starting role. Just look at Olympique Marseille, they are bleeding players at the moment. They already lost Gignat, Payew and Ayew. Same with AS Monaco, Kondogbia is gone and they are desperate to get rid of Falcao and his wage bills.

You also must understand there is clear interest in Musonda. It seems that the club finds it hard to get loan deals for alot of our youngsters, and they either end-up at Vitesse or the Championship. With some luck they overachieve and use that as a stepping stone to higher competitions, Bamford/Thorgan Hazard/Traore.

Charly can choose between Marseille, Monaco, PSV, AS Roma, Valencia... im pretty sure atleast one of those clubs can guarantee him regular playing time.

Let's take this player on loan.

Use him in all the first team matches instead of our own youth players.

Then at the end of the season he goes back to his parent club and then sold for a profit.

At they end of the seaon we've developed a player, lost him and got nothing in return.

YES THIS IS WHAT CLUBS WANT TO DO. Are people really so naive to believe that clubs are frothing from the gash to develope Chelsea youth players?

Apparently, Arsenal made a 8.5 million pound bid for him... as i recall Chelsea set his value at 10 million euros. I would be very sad if he leaves, but tbh i think he has a bigger chance at making it there because he's not a Mourinho type player.

I speak as a Belgian and maybe my post is a little subjective, but if they sell Musonda after losing KDB, then Chelsea staff should go to see an eye- specialist. Biggest Belgian talent. I even place him next to Eden potentially even they are totally different players. So please let the guy go on a loan and let him prove he is top class.
