If Hilario's career at the club was truly finished, he wouldn't have been given a 1 year contract extension back in March/April after he was left out of the CL squad for the knockout stages last season.

I don't understand why we don't just name Blackman as our number 2... Hilario was once a good 2nd choice keeper and now he is not and turnbull is very ... Get some experience with some occassional game time... Coutois will be the number one after cech, but it will be good if we can develop a good young second choice keeper. And imo he is as good as the other two.

Regarding Malouda, we probably didn't have space for an extra foreign player in the squad, so he got omitted.

I think it is not to make him illegible for the CL come January for other clubs to come in to get him. I think the club might have plans to spend a little more in the window as well as some more outgoings - could be a very interesting season!
