1 goal and 1 assist in 23 PL games for Moses so it's not really that harsh if only the league matches are considered. In other competitions Moses was more effective though.

That's not fair either because the vast majority of those matches he's come off the bench late on and almost always he comes on to do a defensive job on the wing to preserve a lead.

That's very, very harsh.

Moses has been a very effective player for us. WhoScored is full of crap sometimes.

Well whoscored isn't full of crap but what we see here is a problem inherent to all statistics, in that you can twist them to suit your point.

cant understand why people are complaining about him. he gave us exactly what we expected off him. few excellent performances before AFCON, some good performances and a lot of average ones. a perfect squad player infact considering the number of CUP goals he has scored, assisted and his performance especially in the europa league, i have to say that he has had a GOOD FIRST SEASON.

Notice I did say *sometimes*. But yeah I do agree. Stats can easily be manipulated to suit ones argument.

Sure, I agree that he was quite often brought on as a sub sometime beyond the 70 minute mark when the team was leading by a goal (Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, West Brom, Spurs) and did his fair share of defensive work by running up and down the pitch but most of the time he did so at the expense of some more calm and composed player like Hazard or Oscar who he came to replace and thus the balance of the game almost without exceptions shifted to the opposition. Still I consider him to have done a decent job in those matches and it's not his fault the manager decided it's better to stop playing football and instead try desperately to hang onto the lead.

What's the excuse for the rest of the matches? From those 23 games he still started more than half (12) and came on as a substitute for the last 30 minutes or so in the rest (6) when we were drawing or trailing the match. There sure aren't many times I remember him being any good in those 18 matches. As much as we all want to blame Torres for everything like you did a few posts back, how is it anyone other than Victor's own fault that more than half of his crosses fly straight over the line for a goalkick or even a throw-in and the rest of them hit the feet of the defender?

To sum up Victor Moses in a few words would be that he is a decent dribbler with shit crossing and finishing. Work rate is good though, so he is a decent option to have on the bench if something new is needed when things are not working out but I simply don't consider him good enough to play more than half of the league matches and we were much better off having Salomon Kalou as the impact sub and occasional starter.

He's no Eden Hazard and no one is expecting him to be but to be honest I was still expecting a lot more than what we got in the end. In the Europa League Moses was one of our best players but his form in the league simply put it was not good enough.

He's a squad player and his job is to contribute when called upon. So when our manager wants to rest the three amigos the bench albeit won't be as good but is still able to provide decisive moments. 10 goals, and one of our best players in Europa League is great.

Overall, in the league he wasn't as good but before the AFCON even in the league he was doing good. So I'm hoping for some improvement and maybe a better manager can get more out of him, he does show some potential.

Moses will not play for Nigeria in the Confederations Cup...

http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1456527/nigeria-confirm-moses-confederations-cup-absence-mikel-wants-rest?cc=4716

Nigeria forward Victor Moses will miss this summer's Confederations Cup through injury, while his Chelsea team-mate John Obi Mikel has asked to be rested for an upcoming international friendly against Mexico.

Moses, 22, starred for the Super Eagles as they won the African Nations Cup in February but will not feature at this summer's Confederations Cup in Brazil as he needs treatment on recurring hamstring and ankle injuries.

He will also miss crucial World Cup qualifiers against Kenya on June 5 and Namibia on June 12.

Most likely the typical media bullshit as they clearly haven't got a clue what Mourinho does or does not want but I for one really wouldn't mind Moses leaving. We already have Hazard, Mata and Oscar who are miles ahead of him and also looking likely we're signing Schürrle as well as get De Bruyne back and they too would be way ahead of Victor in the pecking order. Hazard, Mata, Oscar, KdB, Schürrle would be more than enough depth and quality for these positions and we might as well use a youngster or a player like Ramires or Bertrand to cover for the wings if absolutely necessary but that shouldn't happen too often.

Ten million is a lot of money for someone who's not going to play much and we should take the money and run if such an offer were to appear on the table. That money could then be invested in more important areas of the squad. If we now keep him as sixth choice and he doesn't play much next season his value will plummet but now he still has the reputation of a player who played the majority of games for a team like Chelsea and even has a trophy to show for it.

If we are to challenge on all fronts and win the big trophies, we need a strong squad depth. Don't see what's the problem with keeping Moses TBH especially with the depth issue has caused us problems for the past 2-3 seasons. He might be the 6th choice overall if you list all the players playing just behind the STs but that's not exactly the case if you break them down into their best positions - Hazard/Schurrle, Mata/Oscar, Moses/KDB(maybe). Moses can still come in and do a good job against the lesser teams and furthermore, he's a HG player which means he doesn't take up any of the foreign squad place AND he's not on big wages either. As said, we need a strong squad depth and players used in proper position, no more filling squad pegs in round holes like last season!

Agree with the Two above, we have to keep Moses here.

If Oscar's long term position is going to be CM then we'd have Mata, Hazard, KDB, Schurrle and Moses as options for the 3. That would be enough depth as maybe Rambo or Oscar could play up if anyone catches a major injury.

However, with Schurrle and KDB coming, we've gained two options but then if Oscar is indeed moved and we sell Moses then we'd have lost 2 options. Leaving us all the way back at square one. No depth what so ever. So if we plan to be challenging on all fronts Moses will need to be here and provide some good shifts for the team. Also, buying a squad player is hard these days, so its good to hang on to the one's you already have.

Moses even if we keep him, idk think he would even get to play a single match with Schurrle, Hulk coming over. and with KDB and Oscar in the middle, Mata would be regularly moved wide. So yuss, I think it'd be better if we sell him.

I'd rather keep Moses as he's one of our more versatile players and is a homegrown player as well. We need depth and a player like Moses is perfectly suited to this. We should be bringing in players like him off of the bench instead of the Marin's and the Yossi's. Also in case of injury and you never know he may blossom as a player (still very young).

Moses can provide cover for both LW & RW positions...and he's got potential..in his own right, he can be a good player.

As for Everton's interest...if we signed Moses for like 8 million...why on earth would we sell him for 10 million?
