40mio and in case he leaves, he is off to Bayern. But it would be good to see Mikel-Martinez as strong midfield and Mata, Hazard, Moses and Torrres in attack. Very good balance. But as much Martinez-Mikel looks good on paper, no one of this two is realy fast, Mikel is lacking of energy, while Martinez is also very unexperienced.

If we go after CM, it just has to be Witsel; great player with lot of energy, quickly gets in the team and is good in attack and defence. Not to mention his simple but very effective dribbling style. Perfect player in height duels, passing and shooting for cm. Would take him ahead of any other player, if not him, then Cavani.

unlikely now. the club will probably shut down the search for players unless there is a bad injury in the next 2 weeks. i'd be surprised if we sign anyone else but yeah we do need a CF or a CDM.

Wasn't that at Crystal Palace? Most Wigan fans who have spoken on the issue also say he would not make a good striker, perhaps a second striker so he can use his dribbling and power, but an out and out goal scorer? No.

The guy scored 9 goals in 78 appearances for Wigan. He may well turn out to be a great player for us on the wings but I don't think anyone should be expecting him to be our backup striker. I'd sooner put Hazard, Piazon, or young Feruz out as striker tbh.
